Excellent gem in the french countryside

It was a wonderful surprise this hotel. The couple that manages it were lovely people and the place was beyond words. I was beautiful at night and much better in the day time. We had the most quiet and restful night in our trip.

Gracious!

A delightful welcome by our gracious hosts. Loads of character in this wonderful old house, reminiscent of a bygone age of gentility. The history of the farm is fascinating and I wish we had had the time to learn more.

Due to a issue with our car we would arrive quite late in the evening, fortunately we were able to arrange a late arrival. We were welcomed by our friendly host and spent the night in a house full of history. Breakfast was excellent and we got to meet some of the family (and a very friendly dog). Would have loved to spend more time exploring the area, but we were just passing through on the way to Le Mans.

A charming fermette in open countryside. A warm welcome, good room and comfortable bed. I had a very pleasant stay with my dog whilst passing through; we enjoyed being able to walk around the grounds. Eating out is a bit of an issue with very little open in Le Neubourg (except fast food places). Otherwise charming. A lovely breakfast with great coffee. Merci Madame!

If you want a traditional, quiet, rural place to stay this is for you. If you want a modern, high-tech, conventional hotel experience this is not for you. The hotel has just two rooms run by an old lady in an old house in the countryside. It is very elegant, but all of the rooms and facilities and interactions are basic and haven't changed for decades. We absolutely loved it for its charm, tranquility, and opportunity to connect with the hostess, and for giving us a feel for French countryside living.
