"The hallways are a little dated but the room was clean and cozy. Staff excellent and I slept well. Breakfast was yummy with a nice variety for continental breakfast. Plenty of parking available and we walked to a nearby restaurant"
"Floors where sticky towels and washcloths were dirty. Has to go get towels. No one there to help you or answer your call. Also, no pool, Wii Fii ( no TV)"
"John was kind enough to bring me a fan so temperature was cool at night. I saw many of the rooms that I would have preferred over mine. Great location for doing lots of exploration and very quiet, which I appreciated.
I did not care for the basement kitchen area but I used it anyway.
I booked through Expedia and found their cost high."
"No Kleenex anywhere, not even at front desk!
I might of missed somewhere on description for NOT HANDICP assessible. I have MS very difficult to navigate stairs. Esp with luggage. I asked the lady at desk, if no elevator? A man standing at desk conversing with lady answered for her. He stated no. I said “ I am surprised as I thought it was law. I was polite. He very smart I walked away, turned my back to go up stairs, rudely stated “. By the way it is not a law”. I was startled and embarrassed. Instead, he could have offered to carry my luggage. Somehow I don’t think this is the first rude comment. I am hoping this person is not the manager, either way I go to NY often in this area, I will not go back despite friendliness of female staff and kindness. "
"Our first impression of the hotel was relatively positive. We travel a lot in Europe and liked the style and vibe of the hotel which remind us a lot of the towns in the Alps. However, the property is really outdated and needs a gut renovation, although the location is good. Specific reasons we give a poor rating:
1. The shower is terrible. It is impossible to control the temperature. It was either burning hot or freezing cold.
2. We asked the front desk to borrow an umbrella because it was pouring. Given that the hotel is supposedly a 4-star hotel, which we typically stay at, the front desk told us "they do not lend out umbrellas and suggested that we buy one from the gift shop". Ok. However we turned around and another staff member offered another guest next to us an umbrella. We were dumbfounded and honestly very irritated.
We will not recommend this hotel."
