"Overall our stay was very great. We had to check in super late because of our traveling schedule and the staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was actually good. Most hotels have a very poor continental breakfast but this one was actually legit. The only bad thing that I can say about our stay is that I did pay extra for a room with a balcony and when we arrived the room was overall clean but it was clear that nobody had been out on the balcony and quite some time. It was very dirty and it was covered in cobwebs and bugs. I understand that this is near a wooded area and should expect some bugs but it seemed like nobody had checked the balcony in a while. Still an overall great stay and I would come back"

Be sure to read about the history of the place, and the "healing spring," in the building where you check in, and save time for a morning walk along the creek. And yes, the water is delicious. For less than the cost of a hotel room in Boone, we had the most restful and restorative night and morning of our trip. So glad we found this gem in the mountains."
