"Layana Resort is wonderful! The staff was so accommodating, friendly, and gracious. The room was large with a lovely covered balcony. The beach was beautiful and the water was so clear and warm. We used the resort shuttle to and from the airport, which was super convenient and a pleasant journey. I highly recommend Layana. It is the nicest resort on Koh Lanta."

"Beautiful resort overlooking the beach, and the room was spotless. They ordered a cab (when we had to make a boat) that arrived 20 minutes late, crammed us in with tons of people and the cab smelled of cigarettes, and they dropped our bag on the street. We could have gotten our own private transport that was outside the door for less money. When I pointed this out to the hotel, the response was “we will complain to the company, no worries.” Our complaint is with both the cab company and the hotel. We made a mistake trusting them. "

"Great place tucked away from everything close to elephant sanctuary. This is peaceful relax stop not a party joint staff was great room service was excellent. It is right on a beach you can walk the length of and stop at great restaurants. "

"For the price, this place rocks! Although basic the bungalows were very clean. The grounds were very nice as well. The staff were the friendliest we encountered on our trip and got to know your name and went out of their way to interact with you and make sure you are happy. Definitely recommend for a bungalow experience! Food in the restaurant was pretty good also! "

"Very unique and creative place. Cottages nestled in the trees connected by footpaths. You should be in good shape to stay here, walking up and down the paths is not for physically challenged. For us it was totally worth it to have the privacy of our suite and the beach. The beach there is the best part of the resort, and better than any resort we stayed at in Thailand. PhiPhi island is a magical place. The only downside is those damn long tail boats they are so loud. Breakfast was good. Air con was fine. Staff good and helpful. "
