Wonderful expérience. The place is charming, very quiet, the staff was great, and very nice. It was great to have a room just between the swimming pool. The food is good , and each day, we have tried different local recipes. Don't go there for the beach..as almost every where on lovina beach, it is dirty .too bad

A very special place

This is a tiny collection of villas. The staff, from Esther, who was among the most charming, knowledgeable, welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff we have ever dealt with to the night security guard. Every single person we encountered at In Balance balance were a joy to be with. The restaurant menu was limited, but everything we ate at the multiple meals we had there was delicious and quite reasonably priced. Their goal is to provide anything you need and if they can’t, to make contact with someone who can and will provide it for you. Yes, for example, when I wanted a strong stronger massage than the usual masseuse provides, Esther called her mother to get the name of the lady who gives mom strong massages and there she was! Rides into town? No problem. Transport to Ubud? No problem. The only possible negative to comment on is that this hotel is rather off the beaten track. Perfect if you’re looking for quiet and isolation but don’t expect beach traffic and souvenir shops. Paul, the owner, actually wrote us a personal email, apologizing for the fact that he would be out of town during our visit. Esther sent us a separate highly personalized email offering thanks and support. A very special place.
