Very convenient location. Room is good size. nice kitchetnette. the woman is not helpful, she wont even give a telephone call to a local cab. The man is shouting in Bulagarian language, if he dont agree with his terms. "Fawlty Towers" Food no i would miss. Breakfast i would give it a miss. should have bought my own food.

Good cheap clean spa hotel

Stayed for two days and very impressed, kind and helpful staff, clean rooms, never made breakfast but seemed decent- deep fried bread and eggs etc!! Probably a ten minute walk into the thick of it all but a few quid for a taxi is easier. All in all perfect for a middle of the road hotel.

Mountain Romance - The friendliest staff ever?

We stayed at the Mountain Romance in the summer (July), which is low season in the skiing resort. We were very positively surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Must have been the first time to get a hug from the owners of a hotel after only 3 days stay :-) Highly recommended! The hotel is located more towards the town side, at the end of the resort and not in the centre of the action - which is very nice in our opinion. And anyway, the centre is just a short walk away, as is the Pirin National Park.
