Hotels near Baptist Medical Center South

"The hotel needs major upgrades which can be smelled throughout the hotel. The rooms were icky to the point we felt sick and that was probably due to l of the water (mold and mildew). There were water stains everywhere (pics were taken), but I forgot to get them as they were even on the lamp shades. The tub was disgusting, had rust or some black stuff coming from the drain. The balcony door was rotted, the staff was meh and Lawrence during checkout lacked any type of customer friendliness. This felt closer to what I imagined a motel would be like and the should be categorized as a 1 star hotel. "

"The staff were friendly, and thats just about it. The whole place was very run down. The rooms appeared "clean" upon first entry, but after looking closely they were absolutely not. The faucets in the shower and sink had so much build up on them, the shower head was coming away from the wall, all of the towels had someone else's red hair all over them. The bed cover had a cigarette burn. The bathroom door was covered in black grease stains front and back, and my daughter's socks turned completely black on the bottom after walking around for 5 minutes with her shoes off. This place is in desperate need of a deep clean and a remodel. Would NOT recommend this place. "

"The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there is no notification that you have to be a member to enjoy the “free breakfast.” If you’re not a member it’s like $12.50 per person, but they didn’t tell us until we were already there three days. That needs to be disclosed at check-in!"

"Good location and nice rooms. Materials used to build seem cheap and property looks to have some damage and not well done rooms/bathrooms (lack of attention to details). Overall, staff was very friendly and the room was nice and cleaned correctly. "

"When we entered our first-floor level room the window was wide open and the air conditioner was on. There was no seating except two bar type stools at the counter. The kitchen was not furnished with anything at all. No coffee maker no hair dryer. There was a cabinet door missing. The room was tiny and you barely had room to walk. The bathroom was bare minimum useable. We have had previous stays at Extended Stay that was pleasant but not this time. Also the TV remote did not work, and we asked for batteries for the remote. We had to ask for washcloths. When I told them the window was wide open she said someone must have wanted fresh air. My response someone wanted to let others in for free. We managed to get the bar lock back in place on the window to feel safe. We were going to ask for compensation for poor conditions but the front desk has a sliding barrior and no one was to be found anywhere. People had stuck their keys in the side of the sliding wall! We were only there one night thank goodness. "
