Fantastic location, but the property was noticeably run down. We had mould in the shower, likely due to the lack of any exhaust. Noise isolation wasn't great either as we could hear almost everything happening outside our room, including a child crying in the next unit. Location wise though, it's fantastic. Located right between Casa batllo and casa Milla, there's a wide range of buses and trains within reach.

By the way prices are going in Barcelona, this was a great choice. The location is one worth top rates. So, this is a safe and clean accomodation for a fair rate on a premium location...

Staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean but I’ve never seen so much mold in a shower. It was also noisy at night. Beds were not comfortable. We only stayed one night so it was manageable. The location is the seller for this property. Everything is close by or a short walk. Safe area.

Hostelin was clean, they had great air condition to stay cool in the room, the bed was comfortable, the location great near excellent tapas restaurants, close to bus stop for the airport, on the same street as casa Mila and casa battlo. We had a city view and when door to outside was open that faced passaig de grassi it was loud but the closed door shut most of the noise out. The check in was easy, the room met our satisfaction well. I would definitely recommend hotel hostelin.

Rather unpleasant stay
Hotel is definitely not 3-star. Very dated and poorly maintained. Furniture was old and shower cubicle was mouldy. The bedsheet was dirty and was stained with shoe prints. There were strands of hair on the floor as well. Sound proof was bad and air conditioning did not work. Housekeeping only changed the towels daily without any cleaning or changing of bedsheet. Nevertheless, location is perfect and the main receptionist was friendly. The worst part: one of the receptionist was rude and barged into our room on our third day of stay at around 10am, without knocking the door. We were shocked as we were still inside the room. He seemed to have made a mistake but did not apologise. He also couldn’t understand English, so we couldn’t communicate with him. This incident is unacceptable and unprofessional.

Great location for high end shopping needs and a 15-20 minute walk to Las Ramblas. The reception was not manned for our 10am check out which is fine however we were not able to keep our luggage here until departure. This didn't effect our overall stay as the property is great.

Showed up 2 hours after check-in and the room wasn't prepared - maybe the bed was clean, but the balcony and the bathroom clearly still had trash from the last guest. When we checked-in, the front desk guy who did not speak much English made me pay the local Tourist Tax in cash and definitely ripped me off (made me pay 2x-3x as much as I should have, but I was staying for 5 days and frankly just needed the room so I swallowed it to make things go smoothly). It's a good area and an okay room a large (but loud/creaky) bed and a fridge, but this place is only upkeeped when you check-out. It basically seems like no one works there after you check-in, which is mostly fine. Bathroom had a sliding door that was clearly very broken / hard to move / coming off the hinges and the shower drain would smell like sewage at random, but these complaints are a bit minor compared to the already mentioned stuff.

Private room with private bathroom. Walking distance to La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. Easy to move around the city from the hostel. Felt very safe getting in and out at anytime of the day.

Inaccurate description.. stay elsewhere..
This place's description was not accurate.. 1) It was supposed to have AC and we were told that if it was too hot, to open up the window since they only had a heater available. 2) it was stated we would get bottled water in the room.. that never happened. 3) In the app it was stated that we would get a bottle of sparkling wine, when we asked for it, they just said, "Im sorry we forgot". 4) "Private rooms" with paper thin walls... We could hear everything in the hall and in other rooms. Every time you would move while on bed, the mattress and/or base would make sure everyone would know. There are a lot of good places at Paseo de Gracia, the descriptions and accomodations are what helps travelers to make a decision. We are never staying here again nor recommending it to anyone.

Dear Guest, So sorry you had such a terrible stay with us. We apologize for the sparkling wine, that is clearly our faul. Please next time, remind it to us the first day and not the day you are leaving (after 4 days). As for the rest, I can assure you absolutly no place in the world will put the AC in December when it is 5ºC outside. Regarding the water, we gave you 2 bottles of water on arrival, as a welcome gift, as we always do. I am sure you will find much better places in Paseo de Gracia, but not at our prices. Our quality/price ratio is the best in barcelona. Thanks God the rest of our clients do not think like you do.

The location is very good; the person services at the reception desk is very nice and very helpful; the price is reasonable. Only the towels are overused and looks dirty (it's bu luck I brought my own) The owner should not cut cost on such little thing.

AVOID THIS PROPERTY!!!!
We recently stayed at this property for 2 of our 4 nights booked and paid for. It was the first stop of a dream vacation and Mediterranean cruise. Unfortunately, the local citizens decided to hold a protest with the government which erupted in violence in the streets with tear gas and rubber bullets for the entire week. This all occurred just outside our 2nd floor balcony complete with rocks and burning cars.If this did not make us feel unsafe enough when we came back to our room the 2nd night our door was open and the desk clerk and 2 other people were cheering the protesters from my balcony! This was completely unacceptable and we moved the next day to a different hotel, at our expense. Hotels.com contacted the property and was told they do not offer refunds and that was that. I will never use Hotels.com again as this is a clear violation of the rental agreement and they offer no resolution. Good location. but NO A NO MANAGEMENT PROPERTY. My next call is to the Ministry of Spain whom started relocating tourists because of the protest. I only asked for the refund because of the instability of the area and the invasion of my room by others. I feel this is a reasonable request.

Thanks for your cvomments. We are sos orry you had such a terrible experience with us. Just for the record, we never allow any other guest to get in at another guest´s room. Never. And we didn´t this time neither, obviously. Only our employee Jessell came in for less than 30 secs because he had to help another guest by telling them how were things in the street. Regarding the protests, they are not our fault, as you can imagine. Anyway, Thank God the rest of the guests we have had over all this prtests don´t think like you do.

This turned out to be a hidden gem. I travelled alone and had the single internal room - which I have to admit did not have a nice view! but then your not in your room much. The beds are comfy, the bedding is clean. The bathroom is lovely and clean and the shower is nice and warm. Air con worked fine - most the time - and the wifi was standard and didnt drop out. With 2 metro stations near by and the buses everywhere its a central place that easily allows you to explore the city.

Great place for a night.
One night in Barcelona. My room had a small balcony over a quiet courtyard, so I could leave the door open for nice ventilation. My friends had a balcony over a noisy street. The room is small, but comfortable. Wonderful location! Man at reception desk was very helpful and kind. No complaints!!

Super convenient location
Location is super convenient. Minutes away from the 3 Gaudi buildings. Service was excellent in that the receptionist explained to us where to go and how to get around and gave us bottled water.

Loved the niche hotel
My stat was great, better than expected. The only downfall was there were no small towels but other than that I would definitely stay there again and the Agent at the front was AMAZING!!!

Hidden Gem

Fits my needs
It's decent for what you pay for. My goal was find a hotel that is close to everything and sleep, so it was good fit for me. I was walking to pretty much everywhere and my favorite part was that it was a train trip away from the Barcelona airport, no transfer needed. Wifi was a bit shaky here and there but over all, it had all I needed and it promised.
