"Check in was very easy, staff were very friendly and helpful, room was lovely , larger than expected with 4 poster bed. Great hotel in great location. "Great affordable student accommodation. The space was exactly as advertised. The kitchen worked well, and i was able to prepare my own meals. Excellent wifi and plenty of outlets in the space. One of the best accommodations I've stayed in, and far better than even my own university housing."

The stunning Bowes museum is a must visit with a fantastic collection of paintings, ceramics and silverware. Great selection of small shops and places to drink and eat. Beautiful landscape.

The weekend we stayed 1940 themed weekend, whole community had got involved, shops, businesses, all dressed and decorated accordingly. Young and old had all participated lovely to see in this day and age real spirit of community.
