"We had to make a last minute change to this property from one we had in San Gimignano, and we are delighted that it worked out that way. The property is super relaxing and the staff made our stay memorable. "An amazing hotel with friendly staff. Very quirky with chocolate themed furnishings. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet has to be seen to be believed with an outstanding range of goodies to choose from. The savoury options were plentiful. It would have been preferable to have the eggs and bacon kept warm but this was our only negative. The fresh fruit was beautifully prepared. I have shared photos of the non gluten selection with my non gluten friends who were impressed with the choice. Truly a must stay hotel for anyone wanting to experience a “Willy Wonka” moment. Walk from station to the hotel is doable in 15 minutes but pavement is not very even and probably not suitable for nightime. The walk up to the historic centre was challenging and one we had to abandon in favour of a taxi but noted afterwards that we could have got a bus. The walk back from the centre downhill was actually not so bad. Our room on 3rd floor at the front was somewhat noisy from road traffic."
