Hotels in Bastille

"This was a terrible hotel to stay at. My daughter and I requested two beds and we were put on the first floor. It was so loud and sounded like the Metro was right behind our room. When I asked to be moved, the staff immediately said they are fully booked at couldn’t move us. The bathroom is one of those where there’s no separation between the sink, toilet and shower so it splashes everywhere and the water didn’t drain quick enough. In my opinion this room should not be given to any paying guest! Oh and by the way, we paid over $200 for one night, way overpriced!"

"Stayed in room, paid top dollar for New Years Eve weekend - the room was not cleaned . I requested a discount no response . If the hotel is too busy to accommodate the holiday they should have enough staff or not have booked rooms. They again charged my room for coffee etc after all the inconvenience. "

"I really enjoy the sensible design of the rooms to accommodate a person inhabiting it for a few days. It's aesthetically pleasing and super-functional. So many hotels don't have good room layouts. It's too bad this quality is difficult to quantify/identify on ratings/offering sites. Too bad we don't have an AI agent to replicate my tastes. Oh wait, i can probably do that. "

"I was in Paris traveling solo, and while I have been here many time, this was my first time staying near Bastille. The staff were all kind and helpful. The hotel is well situated near the Bastille metro, which is served by several useful lines around the city. My room was clean and quiet but *really*small, and it would have been useful to have been told that you must insert your key card into a slot near the door in order to turn on any lights! My one complaint was that there was one afternoon/evening when the only elevator was broken and I had to walk up six long and winding flights of stairs. Fortunately I am not elderly, have mobility issues, or wrestling with luggage at that time, as it would have been impossible to get to my room! In addition, there always seemed to be work being done, with alarm testing and construction. They were great about calling each guest to warn them about the alarm testing, but I had to squeeze around ladders, etc. "
