"First too was far too small, asked for upgrade and initially told it would cost £300 so refused. Next day offered bigger room for £120 and took it due to the room size and wardrobe to fit our clothes away. Meals at Breakfast were adequate, dinner menu could be improved by more choice. Sunday roast and Fish/Chips were ace but Steak Pie was not."

"Check-in was excellent - managed to get our room around 1230. Breakfast was excellent on both mornings. Lunch on our arrival day the pizza's we ordered were excellent and huge! Sunday carvery was excellent value for money and the quality was great. Every member of staff were polite and very friendly. They also went out of their way by putting the football on at lunchtime on Sunday for us. We will be back - this is now out favourite hotel in Aberdeen."

"Great hotel in a beautiful location right on the River Dee. The views are incredible. Ample parking. Nice room (with river view), and modern bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were very well made. Service everywhere was excellent. There was a wedding going on my first night - I didn’t hear a thing. At first I thought the bed felt firm, but I had great sleeps both nights. Overall, an excellent hotel, and I will stay again if I’m in the area."

"Breakfast was wonderful with both the opportunity to serve ourselves from the buffet and order eggs and breakfast items from the menu. The setting on the Dee River is stunning. The employees were attentive and professional."

"First, the positives: the bar was nice and the food fantastic (really well cooked, tasty and good portions for the price), staff were always friendly and polite, too. As a pub - no complaints. However, as a hotel there were definitely concerns and functional issues. If it had been more than one night, we would have demanded a refund and left. Room/bed: We booked a "deluxe king room" that was allegedly a suite, but the reality did not match the description at all. All one room (apart from the bathroom) and the bed was double width, but shorter than normal. The "coffee maker" was a kettle and some sachets. Housekeeping: Not convinced they had been in before we arrived. Bedding was visually clean and not smelly, but not neatly made. An old newspaper was still on the side stand and McDonald's rubbish was still in the bin. TV: no aerial/digital connection, so we had to sign-in to iPlayer to use it. Shower: broken. The head could not be adjusted, its cap just came away in our hands, as it was clearly broken and just balanced back in place, and then we realised there was only a dribble of ice-cold water. We reported the issues and staff did attend the room, but none of it got sorted and an offer to move us to a different room was later retracted because now the whole hotel had plumbing issues..."

"Welcoming for dogs - they provided dog towel and dog blanket as well as dog bowls and rubber mat. Great location and also right beside the bus stop too if you want to catch the bus."
