Upon Initial arrival people were cussing on the premises. Was greeted by a virtual kiosk with a 100$ deposit. Upon arriving to my room there was bugs on the ceiling. The beds were filled with stains, and fake nails. What made us decide to leave was the sight of cockroachs in the bathroom corner. We then requested a immediate refund, and was told to contact expedia for said refund. We are stranded in South Carolina 😟

The property seems to be under renovation. In its current state, I would NEVER stay there again. The check in process is done through a kiosk in the lobby. No human interaction. No vending machines. No available food or beverages. Claims to be “No Smoking” but that didn’t stop the crew hanging out smoking and drinking beer in the common areas. Overall, NOT a good experience.

Terrible check in experience. No person to check in but a kiosk. Property is unkept. I paid through Expedia and decided not to stay because of the condition of property. Howard Johnson employee called me at 10:30 telling me that I would have to pay a fee for not showing up even though I never cancelled reservation. Do not go to this hotel.

Our rooms were disgusting We were only on the property a short time and wanted to leave .They refused to refund the three nights we booked. We were offered two different rooms they were slightly better We also originally booked two king rooms and they insisted we didn’t want them they were having “issues” The breakfast was a joke The pictures shown on the sight are nothing like the actual property

Constantly smelled marijuana smoke anytime outside of the room. There was trash everywhere outside. Room had a slight urine smell. Mold on corners of shower curtain. On a good note, the beds were comfortable and clean.

I really wanted to like this place. The great moss-covered trees in the front and the marsh out in back, this place had an ambience the new motels across the street don't have. But from the robot check in service to the tired decor, what could have been a great stay wasn't. The goal should be an extraordinary stay at a reasonable price.

My family and I stayed for over 40 days. The breakfast was great, fresh pancakes and ceral for the kids. The staff was helpful, although most transactions are handled through a kiosk. Overall it was good for the price and would stay again.

We stayed for four days, the grounds were filthy, garbage everywhere, non smoking but the smell of pot was unbearable , also a person had there own grill outside there room complete fire hazard, we had four people and were only allowed two bath towels from the virtual Kevin, who was incredibly rude, would never recommend this place to anyone ,!!!!

Hospitality all hostile territory?
My trip was pretty terrible. That was blood on the walls in our room, the TV had black lines running through it. Every 2 hours they were fighting jets flying over the room made everything vibrate and was extremely I requested a late checkout by 1 hour due to the lack of sleep I got and they try to charge me for it. I asked the lady if she wanted to know why I requested a late check out and she said no, so I told her anyway and she still insisted thought it was going to cost me money. This pissed me off so I requested a refund and will never return. I forgot to add there were no pets no smoking in the hotel so I couldn't understand why the entire hallway smells like weed and a dog barking next door

Security doors were broken on both levels, and the property needs significant improvement. The room look picture perfect until you inspect further. The bedding was dirty, the “fresh towels” had smudge marks on them and the floor had debris all over. My room had an adjoining room that the occupants tried to open. The sole staff member showed up at the desk with slides l, sweatpants, and a t-shirt on. I would not recommend this property for anyone.

I booked through Expedia. However was unaware about an deposit, paid the deposit was told upon check out would receive my deposit back. Next day I checked out way before my check out time and return the key ask for my deposit I paid and was infact told I would receive it after I checked out and NEVER got it so yes I did called to see why hadn't I got my deposit back only to be ignored and then the automated system kept playing. Still didn't get my deposit back so i dont recommend staying here or will i stay ever again due to that same reason. It's just bad for business

We were here for a Marine Graduation. It was convenient location to the base. The room was clean and we had no issues. It was an easy checkin and out. I’d stay here again if I ever have to go back.

The pool was not open, but on our checkin sheet said it was open until sunset. There is no front desk it’s a virtual desk somewhere in India. The sheets on one of the beds was dirty. The rooms and hallways stunk On the positive side the back was a great view.
