A clean and comfortable hotel close to everything
The hotel’s location is super and easy to find with correct information about the address . Before the trip , the hotel sent an email about the directions to the hotel’s location and I was able to get to the hotel’s location on subway . I was very thankful for this email from the hotel and all the hotel staff was very helpful including those serving at the breakfast . The buffet breakfast was awesome with Chinese and western foods and definitely has something for everyone . The hotel is very close to Tiananmen Square , forbidden city and the subway making it very easy to travel to other tourist sights in the city .

New and very convenient.
It is a very nice Hotel. It seems to be new and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is also in a fabulous position. It is walking distance to Tiananmen Square.

staff at this hotel would do less than minimum to help you or make you feel welcome, something as simple as requesting a taxi to the airport was impossible. El personal en este hotel es un desastre, no recomiendo esto lugar para nada. Difícil de encontrar, difícil para tomar un taxi. no recomendable para extranjeros!!!

The correct name of this isn't BEIJING PALACEHOTEL
BEIJING PALACE HOTEL is not the name of the hotel. The real name of the hotel is XIN MINGJI HOTEL, and "Beijing Palace Hotel" is the English version. This is an important information to note because you will not easily find Beijing Palace Hotel on the maps and the local drivers also do not know this place. I arrived at 1am at Beijing airport, and had to ride a taxi instead. When I was out, I asked the Chinese drivers to drive me to "BEIJING PALACE HOTEL" and nobody can determine where that place is. I was then endorsed to a different driver who seemed to know where this is but also had a hard time knowing this. Due to this, he had to stop a couple of times and ask me where the address again is. At the end, I had to pay 500 CNY (around 100 USD), which I know is a scam or is too much, but I had to pay just because the I didn't want the hassle of arguing with a driver who doesn't really understand English, and someone who also had a hard time looking for the hotel. Even the tour guide, had a hard time looking for "BEIJING PALACE HOTEL", I had to give the phone to the receptionist so the receptionist can explain it to the tour guide on the phone where exactly XIN MINGJI HOTEL is. Also,when I asked for an assistance to hail a taxi to the airport, instead of them calling the standard taxi service, I was endorsed to ride the tourist taxi they are partnered with next to the reception, which is more expensive.

Very nice and convenient
Very good location, a lot of shops and restaurants just a couple minutes walk. The room I stayed in has no windows but for the price I paid in Beijing is very good 👍 Room is very clean and in good condition. The hotel is off the main road, therefore, when you get off the taxi you have to walk 3 to 5 minutes (easy walk) The hotel is located in the center of the city, you can walk to all the attractions.

Reasonable price, good location, limited AC & wifi
This hotel is very conveniently located in a tourist area and near to metro stations. Biggest issue we had is that AC seems to work only about 7pm-7am, so rooms would heat up in the morning and during the day. Wifi was also slow/patchy in some rooms. They also wouldn't give us a second room key for a 2 person room. Overall decent considering the price and location.

Not dirtying the room
The location is brilliant. The overall condition of the room is found ok too. But they charged me RMB90 for a cosmetic stain on the bedsheet, is it too much?How they judge and calculate? i think its common to all hotel with stains etc. It is washable as it is only make up foundation liquid. So, pls be careful and not dirtying the room.

Nice hotel
The hotel is located on main touristic street. Plenty of restaurants. 2 subway stations nearby. Staff doesn't speak fluent English, but understand main things - we didn't have problem with check-in and check-out. On check-in you have to put 500RMB cash deposit - like everywhere in Beijing. We had it back on check-out without any problem. Room was nice and clean. Everyday cleaning, fresh bath stuff and towels, 2 free bottles of water. Beds are surprisingly good, we slept on worse in Marriott and Hyatt. Important thing in Beijing - hotel has free Wi-fi in rooms, not only in lobby. And speed is pretty good. But you have to remember about Chinese firewall - Facebook, Google and many other things wouldn't work without VPN. We had only 2 concerns: Your Chinese neighbors may be very loud - again, like everywhere in Beijing. Air condition works fine to deliver fresh air, but fail to cool the room more than 1-2 degrees. Electricity is shut off, when you go away and take your key card, so you can't cool the room while you're not in hotel. During hot weather room was about 26C (78F). But overall for the price this is the great hotel.

The hotel is in an ideal location, clean and comfortable. The staff needs to learn to communicate better, absolutely no English! Difficult to get back safety deposit. And lots of added unexpected costs at check in.

Very good location - select well the room type
Very good hotel in a superb location in qianmen street nearby tiananmen square. Important to note that level of english at reception isy basic and prepared to use google translate. We stayed in imperial garden room 8207 and get also -8 -9 for our child. Sub rooms on wnd floor large , brand new To be noticed a lot of rooms in 1st floor and basement dont get windows... Free breakfast ( chinese) but good Free wifi with a dedicated box in 8207 room Possible to book a taxi at hotel desk to airport (200 yuan very convenient Very geat overall

We stayed here for 6 nights as our last stop in China. To begin the key deposit is 500 yuan which is unbelievable as we expected 100 as that had been the usual. We were leaving early on our last day so asked to leave something else as a deposit as 500 yuan on our last day would not be helpful. The staff keep saying sorry and no but after staying at reception for 20 minutes explaining we needed that money to eat we eventually got it back. The location is decent and the rooms are in good condition. However there were noisy guests every night - we had to get up multiple time to tell people to be quiet, as they were slamming doors, shouting, and watching tv loudly with the door open into the corridor. We rang reception to see if they could do anything about this but they just hung up on us. Then of course there was the smoking: we could clearly smell cigarette smoke in our room which was coming through the ventilation system from other rooms. By law there should be no smoking in the hotel. We rang reception and again they hung up on us. We went up as the smell was disgusting and also dangerous to smoke inside on a basement level floor. They did nothing, we were in our room and could smell the smoke coming from behind the door beside our room and no one from security or reception came or rang to do anything about it. I was so disappointed as I thought it would be a nice hotel to end our trip in as we paid a lot of money but no this hotel is terrible.

Nicely decorated but frustrating hotel
Pros: - Nicely decorated - ‎Great location - ‎Clean Cons: - Coming from the airport, our DiDi driver called the receptionist to ask what's the best intersection to drop us off, and she literally responded that she didn't know. This should've been something they trained all their staff on. - There's no A/C and the windows don't open, so the rooms get unbearably stuffy, even when it was cold outside. We had to go sit in the lobby for some air and during that time, we heard a ton of people call the front desk to complain about the air in the rooms. - ‎The wifi in the rooms is unstable and often becomes unbearably slow. Pair this with the fact that there is no cell reception in the rooms either means that you have a very challenging time doing any planning or work. - ‎They require a 500 rmb deposit, and only accept cash or UnionPay credit cards, which most tourists don't have. This means that on the last day, when you check out, you have 500 rmb that you'll probably have to take back to your home country and exchange. - ‎They have an airport shuttle which is almost twice as expensive as a DiDi Premier, the driver is rude, and on top of it all, he had the gall to make us pay for the toll. Whatever you do, DON'T TAKE THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE! I probably won't stay here again the next time I'm in Beijing.

When in Beijing
This place is difficult to find unless you take the metro. Go to line 7 and exit at Zhushika. Go out at the NW exit, take a left, pass the alley which you will see immediately and then take the next left. It is a beautiful pedestrian street. You will walk past the KFC and then the public toilets. I think the last street # you will see is 72. The hotel is off from the road. Don't expect English there or anywhere else in Bejing. The receptionists are snooty but the maids and maintenance people will go out of there way to help. The room was gorgeous especially for the price. The location was excellent as there were many shops in the vicinity. There was an English news channel but I could not connect to the wi fi. If I go back to Beijing, I would stay there again.

One to avoid.
Excellent location, that's the only good point. We booked a three person room, got a two person room, two beds, two towels etc. Staff could not speak any English, they tried to talk with phone app. No clean bed linen during four night stay. Two Chinese tea bags and cups and kettle provided, no coffee, no milk, no minibar as per room description. No windows. No food available in the hotel whatsoever. On booking airport shuttle, again after trying to communicate via phone app, the reception had no idea what I was talking about when asking for the shuttle. She continued to check out other people as I stood in front of her, completely ignoring me. In the end, we just walked out to find a taxi, which isn't an easy task either. One more thing, the hotel has no road access, you get dropped off about 300 metres away and have to find you own way from there and taxis haven't a clue where this taxi is, as it's not on a road.

There are reasons that this is a budget hotel
There are some good and bad to this hotel. Good Comfortable bed Decent size room Clean room Bad Very little English language provision VERY thin walls (enough so that you can hear people talking in the nearby rooms) Terrible terrible WiFi (almost pre broadband speeds!!!) Note: I was asked for a CNY 500 for deposit. If I visit / stay in Beijing again I will NIT be staying here

The hotel is great value for the money. Very nice accommodations but difficult to find. You cannot get dropped by taxi at the hotel. It is on any alley off the pedestrian shop walkway. It is in a very nice area & lovely hotel. The only drawback for us was that none of the staff spoke any English so it was hard for us to get there or communicate to get more info. About how to find it. Once there-highly recommend.

Don’t be fooled
Don’t be fooled by what the advertise stated! First these is no “free parking”! If you have a car, sorry you even can’t drive toyr car to the front of the hotel because all streets around are closed to public cars. If you need to park your car, it is located a few blocks away underground and needs ¥6.00 per hour. In very cold days, the room temperature was just 19 degree C. You need heavy clothing in the room and two layers of heavy blankets. That was not you can control. Do you want to stay this kind place? I will never stay there again and let you know my experience.

Nice, new hotel
Very nice hotel. All new. Easy to find if you take Qianmen St and turn where you see the spot on the map. The hotel looks onto that side street so cant miss it. Only problem we had was smell of cigarettes sometimes due to rude, uneducated guests who do not care about rules or the beeping of the smoke alarm.

All about the money...
They charged me 100 yuan for a "stained" towel which was in fact makeup claiming that it days in the room that when it is stained you pay 100 which was not defined. Everything is in chinese and they dont tell you at the reception that these will apply to you. Conveniently located if you are by foot but taxis will not get in and you will have to walk a good 10 mins by foot. Many exits in the area and taxis wouldnt know where to go. Wifi did not work my entire stay and couldnt figured out how to work the tv. Press every button on the remote...nothing (again not convenient if you dont speak english). The hotel staff bargains the deposit price with you (first they said 500 yuan then after my friend who spoke mandarin talked to them, they drop it at 200), mind you when I was checking out none of the guests paid 500. The plus was the room which was big. I asked them to tidy up the room, they just threw the blanket over the bed and didnt bother straightening the sheets. Oh and it is not called Beijing Palace, it is under another name. Very disappointed with this hotel

Beautiful hotel! Ornate Chinese furnishings. Great location. Front desk does not speak any English. The name is not listed under Beijing palace hotel when you’re in ChinaDifferent name for hotel when in China.That made it very confusing to find the hotel and get checked in with very little English being spoken..

Nice hotel downtown Beijing. The address is listed wrong on this website. It’s located almost on Quianman Street. We were not able to get there by car. Had to walk fromw Quanman East Road. Staff speaks NO english. Be ready to leave a cash security deposit of 300 yuan.

Rude and untrained staff! They insisted that my booking didn't include breakfast...and later on they realized they'd made a mistake but never apologized. They had a terrible attitude and often forgot to give me back my passport or room key... When I called to complained about other guests smoking in the hotel, they did nothing to help. They said they couldn't do anything...

Excellent location with okay service
Room: Great, clean and comfortable Service: I had to wait a long time when checking in because the staff didn't know if I could pay at the hotel (she insisted that I had to pay online, even after I told her I had chosen to pay at the hotel). I stayed here for 2 nights and even though it was a non-smoking room/hotel, the cigarette smell was kinda strong (and I'm very sensitive). I called the front desk to ask if they could kindly remind my neighbors but they were not helpful!! Location: Great location, it's quiet in a tucked away side street from Qianmen street. However, the street that the hotel's located is blocked. No cars/transportation could get close to the hotel. You'd need to walk for 5-10 minutes depending on where you get dropped off. So I wouldn't recommend if you have alot of luggage or coming with people with physical needs.

Cheap price for high end hotel quality
Without knowing Mandarin, we had a hard time finding this hotel, but it is really easy once you do. Very popular pedestrian street right out the door with many shops/ restaurants. Very famous Peking duck restaurant a block away. Delicious and a little pricey. Very close to Tianamen Square and Forbidden city and subway stops ( easy to use). Only downsides-- bathroom has large window with a thin shade that faces the beds, so not really dark and private like a normal bathroom; and limited staff spoke English. Usually they have a translation app on their phone. They arranged drivers for us, tours, etc... Had tea bags in the room not just a tea pot, fridge, soft beds. No windows in some rooms and the hallways are like a maze until you get used to finding your room. Highly recommend if you are using the subway and have the directions written down in Mandarin.

A lovely hotel in a wonderful position
This recently built hotel was slightly difficult to find as it's located in a little cul de sac side street on Quianmen Street and not quite in a Hutong as incorrectly indicated on the website. However, once found it it's actually quite close to the underground station and in a fantastic postion as almost overviewing the Forbidden City and close to hutongs and various shops. I stayed in a single room that was large, with a very comfortable double bed and various amenities such as wifi, tea shaving set, hairdrier, etc.. Two downsides to it have been, the room did not have a window and it was almost next to the reception desk and the foyer so it was noisy at times and felt not so private.

O hotel é muito bom, quartos muito limpos, bem localizado. Incluisve havia banheira no quarto. A maioria dos funcionários não falava inglês, mas usavam um aplicativo para traduzir e a comunicação era relativamente simples (inclusive eu deixaria esse aplica instalado no celular, de preferência algum que tenha modo offline). O transfer do hotel até o aeroporto cutou 200 yuens, mais caro que o DiDi (aplicavo tipo o Uber que funciona na China e que custou uns 130 para chegar lá), mas saía do estacionamento localizado embaixo do hotel, então eu recomendo o transfer. A rua em que está o hotel não passam carros, então chegar é um pouco complicado. Nós buscamos ajuda no posto da polícia, lá havia um policial que falava inglês e sabia explicar onde era (no caso, olhando o posto da polícia de frente, você vira a esquerda naquela rua interna e anda até a próxima rua grande, você verá o hotel à sua direita). No DiDi o nome do hotel não é "Beijing Palace Hotel" é "XIN MINGJI HOTEL". Sugiro que tenha um print da fachada do hotel em seu celular, pois com ele as pessoas conseguem te ajudar. Falando o nome eles não sabem onde é.

住的房間沒有窗戶,一進門會有味,開了暖氣噴了香水,過了一天就好了,第一天的暖氣太熱了,問了才說暖氣是中央控制的,自己調不了。除了第一天之後的都可以,服務態度不錯的,人很好,地理位置也好,有好多地方可以步行去,有車可以到長城。

Would stay here again!
We had a great stay here and would definitely stay again. The location was perfect, stepping right outside the hotel onto Qianmen road. The only problem as that our room smelled a little smoky and moldy at times but when we told the receptionist they fixed it right away and we also got offered to transfer room. The breakfast was edible, both Chinese and European choices.
