Did not get the room I reserved. The room has no windows. When I mentioned this to the front desk, the staff just said all singles have no windows and then rudely stated that I can complain to the government as I wish.
We loved everything about the hotel. It was clean and in an excellent location. The only thing that we didn’t like was the instability of the water temperature. When I took a shower, the water would go from cold to really hot without me moving the knob. Other than that, everything was fantastic!
It was really reasonable to stay here. Though I could hear some noise from my room, the price and their service were quite good!! The staff at the front desk could speak English. Have fun!!
Check in and out was good. Allowed early check in due to my early flight arrival. Location was good within 10mon walk to Tiananmen and Forbidden City and 7mins walk to Wangfujin shopping street and abundant food court and restaurants in shopping complex.
Staff was attentive to issue raised and rectified within the same day. Staff allowed check out at 1pm and another security staff named Nu Fong Jian (if I got his name correctly) was particularly helpful assisting to call local metered taxi (save cost versus Grab like service known as Di Di), guiding taxi to outside lobby and helping with luggage. Highly recommended.
Comfortable room, but really excellent location for a Beijing visitor considering the price -- between Tienanmen/Forbidden City and Wangfujing shopping district.
I had a slightly hard time finding the hotel, as I somehow at first approached from the backside. Once in the right place, no real language problems with the staff I interacted with. They put effort into the breakfast buffet which has Chinese and Western food.
Suggestion to the hotel: Provide a basic, paper English/Chinese map of the area including major landmarks and subway stations. I didn't see such a map, nor was one offered. The ban on google (maps), etc., means Westerners' usual ways of orienting ourselves are useless in China.
If you are an obvious foreigner, beware of scammers at nearby Wangfujing Street who will approach you and become instant friends. They will invite you to eat/drink (with you end up paying a big bill), to look at "their" artwork, to get a Chinese traditional medicine consultation, or some new scams of the future, with the aim of scamming you out of money. These scams (e.g. the notorious teahouse scam) seem to be a big business along Wangfujing pedestrian Street, as in certain other tourist spots in China.
Reception needs more training and smile to assist customer. Bed is too hard and shower water temperature is not stable. Sometimes cold sometimes hot...

Atención mala poco cortés parece más un hostal que un hotel
The location is excellent because it is very close to Wangfujing street.
The breakfast buffet opening time is a bit late at 7 am, since most day tours will pick up around 7 am. At that early, food places around the area still closed unless you don’t mind getting breakfast from Family Mart.
Facility was in great shape very clean and modern and non smoking.
Issue is I came to meet a tour guide friend who I have known for over 5 years. She lives more than an hour from Beijing and commutes daily. Due to some rule to even visit during the daytime paperwork needed to be filled out and they had to leave at 11:00 p.m. I would like an explanation. If I sign up for 2 adult guests why can’t 2 adult guests stay in the same room. Again please advise.
No help from hotel staff. Upon arrival after a long journey, a hotel lady standing on top of hotel stairs watched me struggling to push my suitcase up the hotel ramp, she made a split second decision not to help and immediately ran inside. Upon my entrance to hotel they burst out laughing as it’s funny. Mold in shower. Restroom floor peeling and stained with urine. Strong order from the toilet. I tried to endure and solve the problem by myself as I was told by front desk to speak Chinese not English so I poured the entire bottle of shower gel inside toilet to mask the strong odor and closed the lid. Ican still smell it from the bedroom during the night with the smell literally stinging my eyes. Please consider to take this hotel off your hotel list and please don’t recommend to other Americans. The real condition is completely different from their pictures.
