Our second stay at HUG. Overall good place considering the cost. The low rates mean it's always full and busy. Good location. Good service. Clean. Washer and dryer are an attractive addition but old and the dryer just doesn't dry. Wish the terrace was open since we had sunny warm days but it's closed for the winter. 2 major issues: it's supposed to be a non-smoking facility but people smoke in the rooms and you can smell it in the hallway and drifting under the doors. Including one night in the neighboring room where they were smoking weed. Second major issue: Friday and Saturday nights they had live music at the club and the pounding music went on until 1:30am... can hear it all the way to 5th floor. One minor issue: key to the room gets deprogrammed on its own for some reason (they said when it's close to cell phone or in wallet) so one has to try to get in the room, realize it doesn't work, then go back to get it reprogrammed. Happened daily to us. If HUG could work on the smoking issue, we would definitely go back.

Really enjoyable stay. The prices are really amazing for this place. The location "Hamra" is at a busy shopping area so there are lots of shopping options and also not far away from the ocean at all. It seemed like a common local place as well because of the wonderful cafe and gym that is also available to the public.

Amazing terrace
I loved the terrace with the pool and the bar, great to spend a perfect day and evening. The room was also nice, with everything needed. I would definitely like to go back. The staff is there 24/7 and is extremely nice :)

I recommended this hotel to my friends several times, for now, I'm not recommending them at all, nothing inside the room for a normal 3 stars hotel, even no drinking water. Towels smell sucks, dirty sheets, bad bathroom, very bad customer helpdesk, they charge a lot of money with very bad internet, almost no internet and bad electricity

What I enjoyed most about HUG was the rooftop pool and bar, pleasant both day and night. The food is good and the atmosphere is lovely. My hotel room was spacious and clean, and somewhat minimalist. The bed was very comfortable. The room was equipped with a fridge, a tv, and a safe, none of which I used. The staff was very nice. I'd certainly stay there again.

My room door card wasn’t working so I asked for another room they said that we should try to fix it first. When it wasn’t fixed they changed my room. They refused my late check out. They ask you to put mask for COVID but the staff themselves are not putting. No electricity in the morning and even they cut it in the afternoon even thought I’m paying in fresh dollar.

My stay was great and super comfortable. The staff was awesome and friendly and super helpful. Special thanks to Rami and Ahmed. The pool at the rooftop is super chill and has amazing food and drinks, so does Em Nazih (the restaurant which is for the hotel). I highly recommend for anyone to stay at Hamra Urban Gardens. However, when it comes to cleaning the rooms, more days need to be added to the schedule, other than that it was great.

Extremely friendly staff! Super helpful and attentive. Hotel’s location is convenient and has almost everything you may need around it. Em Nazih restaurant is accessible through the hotel too which makes it a perfect lunch spot. Rooftop bar is super chill and laid back Would definitely come back to stay!

Best place to stay felt safe and friendly
Amazing hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It’s like one huge happy family. The suite was super large. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Just bring earplugs cos it can be noisy. Gym below but never had time to use it. Food excellent and plentiful. Can’t recommend it highly enough. I’m late 60s and travelled with my daughter. Uber’s arrive in no time at all and a great location for bars and restaurants and great for walking around

I took a group of friends here. We really enjoyed staying at HUG: the service was excellent, the food was brilliant and the rooms were clean. My only critique is that the live music from the restaurant goes on until 1-2am and so if you like to go to bed before then, you need to stay on the 5th or 6th floor to minimise the music in your bedroom.

Great location and the size of the room was generous. The front desk staff didnt seem to care about you, not very friendly. The housekeepers & travel agent's were friendly & welcoming.

Very good option. Location is great. Dormies are big and clean. Beds are comfortable with enough privacy and own light/plug. Breakfast is included and very good. Just a suggestion: you need to ask for the key locker and the towels and maybe you notice they are missing when you're already in the room, so you need to go back to the reception. This could be easily solved by giving both at the check in.
