"The hospitality at Aanari was exceptional! From the first hello to Bon voyage the staff were extremely accommodating. Early check in, late check out, extra tea do the room, help with appliances, providing early breakfasts and snacks for day trips! They went above and beyond. "I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occassions and highly recommend it for its proximity to the airport. However the Hotels site states "Enjoy seamless travel with a top-rated airport shuttle for easy transfers" and theb further down the site, "Airport transportation included". I was booked on the early flight on Kenya Airways and when I went to the desk for the shuttel was told that it does not run early morning. I had to arrange a Plan B."

"the hotel is quiet place and very clean, bedroom as done regularly and clean.breakfast is same thing everyday but tends to get busy during weekends. If you renting a car you might not get parking inside during week end unless its included in your hotel reservation fees. bathroom in comfort room was excellent just the screen on the bathroom doors need a retouch and also there need more modern Usb plug ins. small beach but blue bay beach is few feet away .Is just very nice location. "From check in to the first night, the rating was 0/10. There was an issue with the room assigned to us and were told by a member of staff , that is your room. When the night manager was made aware of the problem, he started the ball rolling to provide an alternate room. Next morning, I was impressed that both the manager and assistant manager, took charge of the problem and relocated us to a different upgraded room. From then on it was 10/10. Room was clean, spacious, grounds very well maintained, breakfast and dinner buffets offered plenty of varied dishes. Well kept swimming pools, including an adult only one. Plenty of non motorised water equipment and an added bonus is that they offer free boat trips to a great snorkelling area, as well as free glass bottom boat trips. Dining and housekeeping staff all very friendly but special thanks to Vu, Vishay, and Stephan in conjunction with the Manager for making it such a enjoyable stay."

"The welcome at Awali was excellent. The all inclusive starts when you arrive regardless of check-in time and it ends when you leave even if you checked out the room hours before. This worked quite well for us as our flight left at 9pm. The concierge is a gem who makes things so easy to do and has really good communication. The restaurants were fab. I did take heed of previous reviews and brought sea shoes which helped us enjoy the beach much more than we would otherwise. The beach is more for snorkelling and seeing wildlife than playing in the waves. The rooms are cleaned and checked multiple times per day. The Boma is a must experience. I also used the sunset on the golf course experience and it was as wonderful as you would expect. The staff go above and beyond and they are all super friendly. We used the spa and although a bit pricey offered fantastic massages and the use of the steam room. I definitely recommend. The only downside is that they need to increase the staff by the pool bar as it takes a long time to get orders in."

"Breakfast menu offered a large varied choice to suit lots of tastes and requirements. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location was good, beach clean quiet and secluded from public access. Rooms were large with all good working order facilities, modern and comfortable. Pool large and clean offering beach and sea view. 3 on site restaurants offer buffet, a la carte or bar meals. "
