Hotels near Belize Barrier Reef

"It was my first time visiting Belize and I wanted to stay on the mainland before visiting San Pedro, and the Pickwick was very suitable for me. I could easily walk to different restaurants in the neighborhood, and there is a park across the street that was active and filled with different food stands. The vibe was great. There is also a casino and a very good restaurant on the property too. As for the hotel itself, the room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only thing missing was a refrigerator and maybe a safe, but everything else was great. The best part of the Pickwick was definitely the staff. They were all so polite and helpful and helped me with arranging a guide to take me to the Altun Ha Mayan Ruins and just driving around, showing me much of Belize City. I will stay at the Pickwick, the next time I visit Belize. 🙂"

"We were the only guests on the property which we found to be odd. You couldn’t eat outside or sit on the beach because of the insects. On the positive side, the staff was outstanding, and tended to our every need. The snorkeling was spectacular and the best we’ve ever experienced. Our guide and captain the best."
