Clean but no-frills place to stay. Short drive to either downtown Bham or Fairhaven. In room mini-fridge and shared microwaves are a nice touch.

The motel is pretty basic, but clean, quiet and operated by kind and attentive staff. The continental breakfast is far better than expected at a basic motel.

Pro: staff was friendly, room clean, bed comfortable. Con: carpet smelled weird, hallway conversation very loud in room ( any activity in hallway was so loud), water was lukewarm. I was only bummed by not being able to take hot showers. The grounds are very tidy and the room and linens were very clean.

This is our second stay at the Coachman. With a granddaughter in the area, it’s likely we will be back. The owner/manager is incredibly attentive to the needs of his guests.

The hotel was really exceptional, we have shops in the surroundings, places to eat, hamburgers, it is also very easy to park, the hotel staff is very attentive, the hotel is a little old but you can see the cleanliness, you also feel the security, In short, I recommend the hotel to anyone, it also has breakfast.

Very much a “get what you pay for” experience. No bad hotel art to criticize. Also, no water cup/glass (there were two coffee cups). Comfortable bed. Solid wifi.

I was very happy staying at the Coachman. It was recommended to me by someone and I am glad they did. I think it’s hard to find a decent place to stay for this price and in such a great location (super close to WWU). It seems family owned and that really makes a difference. The continental breakfast was good, simple and very tidy. I will definitely stay here again!

Our stay was good, property is ok (facilities are a bit old but still functional). I was really impressed by how neat and clean the breakfast buffet is kept. Staff is very friendly, though I had to wait for them 10 minutes each time when checking in and checking out.

About the friendliest staff I have ever encountered at any motel or hotel. So helpful and nice. I would stay there anytime I am ever in Bellingham. Breakfast was more than adequate as well, even had peeled hard boiled eggs when I was there..

Staying here was like taking a trip back in time, before large change hotels and robotic service. There was kindness, pride and friendliness in every interaction with the amazing staff. The room was clean and comfortable, the parking and location were both easy to navigate. I'd travel to Bellingham again, just to stay at the Coachman. You should stay there too and you should also visit Bellingham, it's a beautiful and friendly place.

This property is exceptionally clean and the owner is so friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast (included) is excellent and there is ample parking. Would stay again. We didn’t use but they also have a small fitness centre and dry sauna. Good Thai restaurant across the street.

After recent experiences in other places this was very pleasant surprise. Welcomed with a friendly staff, clean and extremely quiet room, rich continental breakfast and cleaning room and fresh towels every day are just on the top of the list together with reasonable prices. I am normally reluctant to write any reviews as most of experiences are average at best, but as I already stated this was very nice experience and I will not hesitate to book here again in the future.

Property was run down. Way too much light came through the window even when curtains were drawn. Need to be able to black out the room and the amount of light coming in made sleeping difficult. Very limited options for the breakfast. The person working the front counter was very friendly and efficient, though.
