The room was very nice, well lit, very roomy, and the bed comfortable. Nice. We loved the location and view. Good health food store next door. And, a gas station across the street.
For me a shorter person, the bottom step of the stairway was higher than normal and when wet was slippery. So be careful when stepping down.
The property is in a great location for the Sunday River Resort, restaurants near by as well. Quiet and easy process to stay for a short trip on the mountain. Few hairs in the beds, quite sandy in parking lot that tracks into the hard floors, season plays a factor understandably. Overall great stay!
Drive-up motel entrance so we can go in and out of room close to car and not have steps or lobby to contend with. We could bring our ski gear in easily to room. Very clean, everything we needed, great king mattress, hot water, good heat. You do need earplugs because of the truck traffic that downshift in front of motel, and if you are a light sleeper, it could wake you in the early morning.
This is a nice little motel close to Sunday River. The price is reasonable and the rooms are clean. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear what goes on in the adjacent room. Will likely stay here again mainly due to the price and location.
This stay was really enjoyable. We were skiing Sunday River and found this place online. The room was very nicely decorated. There was a bin of garbage that was left from the people who stayed before us but other than that the room was really clean. The staff was really nice and helpful, they don't have an office but rather a phone number that you can call/text and they answer right away. The room was small, although there were two beds, with all of our skiing gear it was a tight fit and couldn't imagine having more than just the two of us staying there but again, for the price it was great! We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
Although there were some hiccups with the heating in our unit, staff, specifically Colin, was responsive, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that myself and my family were well taken care of. Some of the best customer service we have ever experienced, including waking up early to ensure that the ground was properly salted in winter to ensure safe passage and frequent check-ins to ensure the quality of our experience.
Very average accommodation, not worth the pricetag
Very basic property, effectively a prefab building of a motel form. Accommodation is clean, no interaction with owner/anyone of the property as the room number is text before arriving and door left unlocked. Room was cool upon entering, took a few hours to warm up. Room/bedding smelt musty throughout the stay. Definitely not worth the $ paid, but all properties in the area take advantage of the limited supply of accommodation options around Sunday River; worth at most ~$80/night...
Great place to stay close to Sunday river, and a 30 second walk to the 1888 barn venue next door. The room was clean and actually had antibacterial hand soap in the bathroom that no hotel ever has for some reason. Great water pressure in the shower as well as heat. The owners were present and friendly. I will be staying here again
