In over 30 years of travelling on business, this is one of the best places I have stayed in.Although I did not meet the owners it was clear that the accommodation was well looked after and virtually everything had been thought of for the comfort of their guests. Virtually everything was absolutely spotlessly clean.The only small point I noticed was that there was dirt around the toilet seat hinge - a bit of a dirt trap and difficult to access(I'm sounding like a "Four in a Bed" contestant now!).However, I would not hesitate in recommending Bay Lodge to anyone. Lovely hotel
Hotel overall was lovely, clean and easy access to rooms, as is self access, the only issue we had was with the shower it was very tempromental on setting the temperature and the flow was a rather slow.

Great location
It was a great place to stay, and in a very nice area. It was cleaned every day to a high standard and the only thing i didn't like was how dark the room was inside, i needed the light on even during the day most of the time. Other than that no other problems.

Very comfortable stay!
Me and my partner stayed in the Chaucer room and it was absolutely lovely, would very much recommend for anyone looking to have a nice, cosy, comfortable place to stay.

We had a ground floor room that you went down steps into and we found it to be a bit dark, maybe the upstairs rooms would have been brighter. Other than that it was a nice room. Very clean. Had everything we needed for our overnight stay. A full length mirror would have been a nice addition and we would have preferred bigger bath towels. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

We got in late, but had everything we needed to get into the room without disturbing anybody. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. This was much appreciated after several lodging’s that were very uncomfortable.

Bay Lodge
Bay Lodge was a lovely little find. Loved the quick and easy self service check in. Room was great with some nice touches (chocolates and biscuits) and plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc. Bed and pillows were amazing! Very comfy and fresh. Will definitely be booking again.

Contactless check in worked very well, the room was a good size and spotless. Milk was waiting in the fridge, and there were plenty of tea/coffee supplies. Bathroom was small but the facilities were excellent and there was a choice of shower types. Lovely big TV with Netflix and YouTube options - only complaint was most of the TV channels were unwatchable due to pixellation/picture freeze. 3 minutes from the beach, easy to find parking locally. Would stay here again!

Great place for a short break
The instructions to get into the house were very well given. The room size was decent, very well kept and cleaned. We liked the fact that there was a small fridge as we could keep our drinks and food there (no breakfast available) The place is literally 3 mins walk from the seaside. Very easy access and plenty of free spaces for your car in the hotel street. Just a few minor things to say though - the room can get very warm / hot. We had a little fan but we couldn’t really keep the windows opened because we could hear the birds singing otherwise in the morning - shower was a bit difficult to adjust for temperature and very modern bathroom Overall a nice experience

Have stayed here a few times. Conveniently located to local shops and seafront. Good facilities in the room with added benefit of small fridge. Lots of free street parking available.

Comfortable ,clean accommodation .All fixtures and fittings are of very high quality and the bed is very big and comfortable. Spotlessly clean with a fridge and fan provided. Beautiful modern bathroom.

Great little find
A really comfortable bed and great en-suite bathroom. Room was immaculately clean. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurant/bar. Great little find and I’d certainly recommend. There is a bell in the hallway to ring if you need to speak to the owner, otherwise you don’t see them at all, hence the service score not being higher. But I assume this was a covid measure.
