The room was clean and comfortable, but the kitchen was closed. It was quiet and a fair value for the money. If the goal is a clean room with quiet atmosphere for a night stopover, it fit the bill. The facility looked a little run down and in need of some refreshing.
Breakfast cancelled both days. Asked for additional coffee & hair supplies for day 2 of my stay… not available. Water jugs both empty in gym. Bathroom sink and shower in need of repair/ replacement. Vending machines out of order.
Staff nice. Shuttle good.
They have a good thai restaurant! My room was clean and smell fresh

I chose this location for its price, understanding it would differ from my usual accommodations. The front desk representative and owner were helpful prior to arrival. The location is suitable for short stays rather than extended visits. We reserved two rooms for two nights; in one, the shower and tub were not clean, leading to an early check-out. My room was acceptable, though it was clear the property is quite dated. On the second night, housekeeping did not replenish tissue, change pillowcases, provide trash can liners, or supply extra towels. At check-out, I had to request information about the deposit, as it was not offered proactively. The refrigerator and TV remote in my room did not function. While I appreciate the assistance received, I would not stay here again or recommend this property. Greater attention to guest concerns could have improved the experience.
That sounds like a frustrating experience, especially having to deal with cleanliness issues that cut your trip short and dealing with unserviced rooms and broken amenities on top of that. It's disappointing when a budget-friendly choice falls short on basic upkeep and proactive customer service.

The exterior structure looked good. There were several trash in the parking lot.
The interior lobby was clean. The elevators were worn and in need of cosmetic work. The room was good, clean, nice beds.
Breakfast was hot, grits, sausage and real eggs. Coffee but NO TEA.
The stay served its purpose.

They had no breakfast rooms old run down ice machines not working on no floors hot water wasn’t working our first day there no help from staff to rectify the problem the bed was comfortable that’s it no face towels no house keeping no management and staff not helpful with concerns I will not stay here again
This hotel is pretty run down. The air conditioner only worked on the highest coolest setting which made it uncomfortable for just sitting and relaxing. We could see the pool from our room and had a few hours to kill, so we were going to go lay by the pool…this was the ONLY good feature of the hotel. The pool was clear blue, the deck and chairs seemed to be super clean; UNFORTUNATELY when we got down there the gates to the pool had padlocks on them and we couldn’t get it. Our visit to Birmingham was in mid June, so the pool would have been the only redeemable thing about this very sub par hotel and it wasn’t open in the middle of a very hot afternoon. The bed in our room squeaked every time anyone moved even a fraction and the mattress was so sunken in that it felt like our feet were higher than our heads. This hotel needs a major renovation and lots of upgrades. I would NOT recommend!
If you’re on a low budget, and are looking for a place to simply rest your head for a night or 2, this hotel will work for the short -term. There’s nothing flashy about it. The staff was very kind and probably the best aspect of the hotel. The sheets and towels were kinda dingy, and not as clean as we’d of liked them to be, meaning there were visible spots (looked like plasma stains to us but it could have been something else) on them. A simple shower, quickly became a bathtub of water bc the drain was not draining fast enough. Many hotels will refresh your towels and room while you’re gone. This was not the case for our room. All these things are manageable, if you don’t mind them. If you naturally enjoy good quality & overall hospitality/service when you’re away on vacation or at any given hotel, go elsewhere. If you just need to crash for the night, it’s worth it for the price. You do get what you pay for.
Go with zero expectations.
Breakfast was so-so - scrambled eggs, sausage and grits. A few bananas, but no grab-and-go items like apples, muffins, etc. You need a raffle ticket from the front desk. Our toilet flushed poorly, the tub was very slippery and the grab bar in the tub was coming out of the wall (screws exposed). We ran out of toilet paper the first day as they only gave us 1 small roll plus the remaining amount on the spool. After our first night, they knocked on our door and said they had to moves us up to the 4th floor. The saving grace - the beds were super comfortable and they had black-out curtains plus a wall AC unit that produced a nice air flow and white noise. We really just needed a place to crash, but it was honestly really terrible and in a sketchy area (we were warned several times by our Uber drivers not to go out after dark or hang around the hotel).
