"VERY run down and needing SERIOUS renovations!! No exaggeration, paint falling off ceiling, holes worn in grungy old couch, half the cushion missing off the seat of the desk chair, cigarette burns in the comforter, just list just goes on!! As far as clean, nope! Mirror was dirty, floor was dirty, furniture was dirty, clean towels were dirty… This hotel charges your credit card $50 for incidentals… SERIOUSLY?!? What could I possibly do to this room to worsen the condition of it?? Hands down the grossest place we’ve ever seen.."

" Pulled into the parking lot where it became apparent we going into a construction zone. Was greeted by the cheerful agent at check in. "We have you in one of our newly renovated rooms." Thoughts of fesh paint, clean carpet and working bathroom fixtures immediately entered the mind. Imagine the disappointment when we walked through the door. No fresh paint smell. No fresh carpet. No renovated bathroom anything. The ceiling and walls contain what could be years of repairs and pooly applied patchwork. No amount of cleaning can restore the bathtub to a bearly acceptable condition - it needed replaced. The comode seat was held with a single fastener. The vanity mirror is updated and impressive but it's the only thing in the area that housekeeping has touched in a very long time. The property is in a high traffic area with lots of nighttime car/truck noise. The only pluses were the new, really comfortable, beds and no bugs. Didn't stop for breakfast but the waffles smelled good. The investors in this property need to review the contracts and the results to see if their expectations are being met. "

"Refused service because of my SERVICE DOG’S SIZE. Sleep Inn & Suites Dyersburg I-155 told me my dog was “too big,” which is a direct violation of the ADA. Service animals are NOT subject to weight limits. Completely unacceptable and needs immediate correction"

"Bed and pillows were comfy. Water for shower was nice and hot. Air conditioner worked well and was quiet. Staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. Appreciated the freezer in the fridge to freeze the ice packs for our cooler. Appreciated easy loading of luggage with parking in front. Great price. Bedroom area was nice. Everything was clean. A few things but considering the price……we worked with it. Bathroom needed some work with peeling paint and challenging to get the water to shut off in the shower. Drain stopper had to be taken out of bathroom sink to drain. Couldn’t get the deadbolt to latch which is a safety concern. A bit noisy out on the porch area with a group of people talking somewhat loud (could hear it in the room), kids running around yelling but, it did quiet down at 8 pm."

"We have stayed at this hotel a few times over past 20 years or so. I believe our last time was just after a renovation and actually was quite nice then. I do not believe it has been renovated since that time (not sure of year, maybe 2009?). The room this time was just "okay". It was fairly clean but definite signs of wear (paint chipping, water damage on bathroom floor, no shower curtain liner, TV remote didn't not work correctly, etc.). Also, contrary to amenities listed on website - no secure wifi and no breakfast available. Strangely, our room was located right next to a couple who was obviously living (or extended staying?) in their room and they even had a dog. Granted, they and their dog did not bother us. The hotel is obviously big enough such that they could have given us a room away from that. If they can manage another renovation and improve amenities, we will likely consider staying there again next time we're in Kennett."
