"Really nice hotel, staff very helpful, delicious breakfast"

"Pretty unclean, bed sheets had marks on them, walls were all marked. Mattress was hard and pillows flat. The hotel bit of the building is not secure from the rest of the building so didn't feel very safe. Hallways also smelt strongly of smoke and reception required going down a flight of stairs with my suitcase. I ended up leaving and going elsewhere."

"We are a family of 5 so had to book 2 rooms. They managed to allocate rooms close to each other. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. The reception was manned at full level at 23:30, which was very impressive. The staff were excellent. The building & amenities look a bit dated, but for the price we paid, we can’t complain. Will stay there again if needed."

"We arrived at what looked like a derelict house and had to check we had the correct address. On entry it was not obvious where to go and had to shout into the kitchen where a lady then showed us to our room. Basic does not even come close to describing it. We accepted tge key then walked straight back to the car to book a hotel 3 mikes away then dropped the key off later. I feel the images are deceptive and if a view of the front of the property was available then no one would book. Avoid!"

"We arrived at approximately 9pm, slightly later than advised. Although the front door was locked, the manager (I assume) was still there, cleaning. He let us in when I telephoned and kindly carried our case up to the room. The room itself was clean, fresh, well equipped. However, the room was extremely cold on arrival. We were told that the heating would be turned on, but unfortunately the radiator remained cold throughout the entire night. As a result, the room never warmed up. Due to the lack of heating, we were extremely cold and unable to sleep so we packed up and left before 7am, having effectively been unable to make use of the accommodation. While the room itself was of good quality, the failure of the heating meant our stay fell well below a reasonable standard, and represents a disappointing service failure. This was raised with the property but they refused to acknowledge there was an issue. "
