Usually when we book a motel, we approach it like we would a campsite. This is easily the nicest motel I've ever been to with modern touches blending with a ceiling of thick wood features. You can just tell whoever runs this place has worked hard to make it comfortable/up to date. The phone system seemed a bit confusing, but considering most of us have cell phones - it would still be easy to work out should there be an emergency. The view of the water was just refreshing. I hope we can come back!

Very clean older hotel with incredible access to a cute downtown and the ocean. Located a half block off the water, along popular route for cyclists and sightseeing.

OK motel
It was an OK motel. There was no soap in the shower dispenser. The hair dryer didn't work and the lamps didn't work. The room was clean. The location was convenient for heading to Canada.

There wasn't an office to check in, it had been demolished. There was a phone on the wall to check in and I was told there was plumbing problems, that I would need to go to their other location in Blaine Washington. The other location had been under going renovation and there wasn't any molding around the door and we could her the power box right outside our door.

There was not much to like. We actually had to go to an alternate motel. The first was awful. It was totally run down and looked nothing like the picture. There were many residents sitting outside on the curb. But we were taken to a different place 2 minutes away. It was somewhat better but not what we expected to stay in.

I love the layout of the room. Its unique and not boring cookie cutter basic. 2 rooms with 2 tv's and a fridge and micro for around $100! VERY good value. We were only there for about 10 hours and didn't stick around to enjoy all the local fun stuff but it is RIGHT at the border with lots of cute cafes and a very nice Starbucks right up the street. Will definitely stay here again next time we travel to Canada.

Looks like it is under new management and we could tell there were updates to the room. New tile in the bathroom on the shower wall. Bathroom tiles was older. Carpet was new, but had a stain by the front door. Blankets and comforters were older, but appeared clean. Walls look like they were freshly painted. Towels were clean and there were plenty. We got there late, and they put the key under the mat and had the credit card receipt on the table. We booked through Expedia and didn't put in our credit card. The front desk person called and left me a message that we had 5 minutes to call back or they were giving the room to someone standing there. I called back and they told me again that I needed to call within the 5 minutes to keep the room. I asked if I met the timeframe as they were telling me again. Apparently I had as he took my card number and told me he would put the key under the door. We needed the room and we were tired. $220 was a lot to pay for this room.

Quaint and Affordable. Kitchenette included.
The bathroom and shower was nice and kitchnette is also a nice touch. There is no coffee pot so I was disappointed on missing that feature (maybe cause there are long-term, weekly rentals?). The room size is adequate but the beds made for a terrible night of sleep. We didn't sleep well at all. The bed smelled funky, and you can easily hear most of the people next to your room on both sides. You can even hear their television and when they go to the bathroom. The host was nice; I did have to wait for a bit as they tended to a separate property (no biggie for me). Overall this is a quaint place but I don't think I will stay again because of the beds.

No room available after booking & paying
After booking through Hotel.com, we arrived to check in and there were no rooms available. Hotel.com placed us in another hotel that turned out to not be pet friendly and forced us to find yet another hotel outside of hotel.comband lost my pmt due to the no cancellation policy. Very disappointed and won’t be using hotel.com again
