Beating the Heat with Dante and Luc
I booked very last-minute to get out of Brussels. Initially I didn't know what an 'adults-only' hotel was (this has a different connotation in the US) so I held off. This was literally the last room available for less than 1000 euro a night on all the travel websites. My stay was wonderful; the recently refurbished art deco hotel with F Scott Fitzgerald touches was great, and very convenient to 'de Strand' and the train station. Top-notch service from Dante and Luc at the front desk who provided great restaurant recs, key basic info ('how do I get a sunbed?') and levity in the face of the really disturbing (and rare) beach scuffle on August 8. My room was small (I was solo) but very graciously appointed with a nice coffeemaker and nice bed and shower. (Not much of a view, but that's what you get for booking the day-of.) Breakfast was worth it -- hearty German-style meats and cheeses, and a glass of Cava! I would totally stay here again. Excellent, personal service; like a family run hotel. Great stay -- thanks much.

Gatsby Hotel Blankerberge
Room was very comfortable with great amenities. Great service from the assistant cook who also did reception and show me the room. The room renovation were not finish as loose electrical wire on top of the bed frame, as well as the door frame unfinish. Carpark was available b y pre booking, but no mention on the reservation website. Great hotel. To be recomended

It’s supposed to be a 4 star hotel but it should be a 2 star hotel from all aspects from staffing to condition. Sanity: Hair on towel & bed sheets Condition: Heater doesn’t work properly. Takes hours to heat up the room. Safety: Exposed wires on the bed frame. Privacy: Manager will discuss your matter with other guests and ask them to relay the message as there’s no phone in the room.

Heel vriendelijke ontvangst en heel vriendelijk personeel. Een ongelooflijk uitgebreid en heerlijk ontbijt, zoveel keuze nog nooit ergens gezien en alles héél vers !!! Heel mooie en propere kamer, kortom zeer zeker voor herhaling vatbaar !!!!

We waren rond 23.00 u aangekomen...konden niet meer inchecken en hebben een ander hotel moeten zoeken!!! Het stond inderdaad achteraf gezien bij de hotel info...maar ik heb erover heen gekeken , omdat ik me er niet bewust van was, dat er een mogelijkheid was dat je na een bepaald uur, gewoon niet meer kunt inchecken....ze mogen de gasten , daar wel meer op attent maken of toch een mogelijkheid geven om met code ofzo, toch binnen te komen....ik was heel erg moe en erg teleurgesteld en moest op dat uur nog op zoek naar een ander hotel☹️

Geweldig Hotel! Alleen maar positief, slechts 2 aandachtspunten. 1. Een deur naar de badkamer/toilet 2. Aan je gasten vooraf uitleggen wat er van je wordt verwacht tijdens het ontbijt en niet gaan schreeuwen als het niet goed gaat.Goede communicatie onderling is beter.
