"Room was clean. Air conditioning very noisy and smoke detectors went off during the night. My husband tried to fix but couldn't. We were owed a free night!

"We like the historic nature of this hotel but feel that it needs some TLC. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
We ate breakfast in the dining room once. The food was fine, but the floor was dirty under tables and under the sideboard. It had been swept by the evening meal which was very good. The chairs in the dining room look as if they need to be refurbished.
Our large room had a door to a balcony which we enjoyed each day. The bed was comfortable but we found the room too warm, even with a fan. The room also needs an additional chair placed in front of the TV as its placement makes watching from the couch very difficult. Suggest having hangers available.
We enjoyed our stay but would have enjoyed it more with a few changes."
"Check in was ok. The gentleman at the desk was nice. The rooms were not the best. The bathroom plug didn't work, the floors look clean but so dirty when i had to clean up some water. The bathroom had a couple of holes in the wall. I went to get ice, and the lady was not friendly at all. Said i should have brought my ice bucket but the ice box was too sticky to put ice in."
"Terrible breakfast staff was there nowhere to be seen pool and lawn chairs were dirty not enough towels and there was no pullout couch despite having booked for three people"
"The room was nice and clean. The strange thing was there was no staff to meet us when we arrived. Instead, there was a sign to call a phone number and the owners in the next house came over to show us to our rooms then left us. We were the only people in the building until we called again for breakfast the next morning when he came over again to make it. There is no pub as the pictures would suggest. This is a 6 room b&b with owners next door situation not a hotel/motel."
