"The experience at this resort from the people, service, accommodations, food, drinks, and wine were top notch. We would certainly recommend Halaveli to friends and family."
"Incredible 10 day stay at Kuramathi - with our 3 year old daughter!
Highlights:
We chose Kuramathi partly because of the kids club, which was even better than expected. It's much bigger than the website photos suggest, with two splash pads and a pool with slide, a garden, and lovely indoor play area. Our daughter loved it so much and kept requesting to go back. The staff are fun, caring and engaging. Huge thanks to Konnie, Rashma, Rachelle and Sara for making Wren feel so happy and secure.
We were full board and ate at the buffet restaurants, rather than a la carte. The food was exceptional, better than any other buffet we have eaten at. The breakfast almond croissants deserve a special mention!
The house reef is huge, wrapping three quarters of the island. While some parts have suffered slightly bleaching, there are numerous healthy varieties of coral. The fish life is incredible, and there is a huge population of black tip reef sharks. Access is easy from the beach or jetty - even our toddler could do it. Watching the black tips hunting fish from the jetty was such a highlight.
Rasdhoo Dive Centre was excellent - we did a refresher dive on the reef, Wata was an excellent guide. We also did the Madivaru Dive, famous for white tip reef sharks, which was stunning.
The excursions are excellent, well worth the money. We swam with manta rays on two separate snorkelling boat trips, which was an unforgettable experience."
"Staff were friendly and very helpful. Small touches made the stay very welcoming. Welcome drink, welcome greeting sharing all the info about the hotel and the island. Beautiful beach access. Room was spacious and included many free water refills. "
"Fantastic little resort with a very high standard on everything from food to house reef and not least the fantastic and super friendly service provided. "
"Room was nice and big, however, a few things missing. No mini fridge for cold water. No hand towels in the bathroom. Light in shower didn’t work either. No place to rinse your feet before walking into room, since the door leads straight onto sand.
Overall a pleasant stay, great location, just some small things that could make a huge difference. "
"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A true five-star experience—without the need for a luxury resort.
I searched high and low across the Maldives for a quiet, affordable, no-frills retreat where I could spend two weeks in peace. What I discovered at Belmar Beach was far more than I hoped for—it was a profoundly rich and unforgettable experience.
My room opened directly onto the beach, and every morning felt like magic. The staff, including Abdula and Mohamed, were endlessly kind and attentive, always ready to help organize day trips or even excursions to nearby resort islands if you craved a cocktail or a change of scenery.
My final night is something I’ll never forget. Feeling a little sad to be leaving, I was surprised and deeply touched when the staff arranged a private dinner for me at a little table set directly in front of the shimmering sea. It was the perfect farewell.
If you’re looking for over-water villas and flashy luxury, this is not the place for you. But if what you seek is peace, cleanliness, simple but delicious meals, and truly outstanding service, Belmar Beach is a gem. I know I’ll be back.
Thank you to the wonderful staff for making my stay so special."
