The room was nice, exactly as advertised. The staff members were very responsive via texts. Overall I had no major complaints. However, the maintenance/cleaning crew only took out the trash and didn’t make any effort to actually clean/arrange the room mid-stay. Overall, great stay

Room was smaller than pictured. But still great for location. Found 3 millipedes in the bathroom, counter in the kitchen area and on the floor by the bed that kinda freaked us out. Overall room served its purpose.

I stay at maverick suites every time I come to Boston. It’s clean, affordable, located in nice neighborhoods, no frills, no nonsense, and decor is simple urban understated chic. It’s Boston’s best kept secret as far as lodging goes.

Great for a short stay

The room overall was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and a sink. The bathroom was okay, had the basic plumbing. The property owners made sure that I had the access codes prior to arrival. Most of the time, the room was quiet. There is a bus stop at Dartmouth and Appleton, with regular service. It's also not too far from Back Bay station, but the sidewalks are not exactly even. I enjoyed my time at the Maverick Suites. It served its purpose for a short two day stay.

The hotel was very cute, and very conveniently located and had everything you could need in the room. The shower stall was small and took a long time to warm up. Because the hotel did not have a desk, or customer service there it very much feels like you are on an island, and the bed was rather hard. Despite these minor problems a very pleasant stay and would consider staying again.

I barely slept over my three night stay. The blinds did not keep out the sun, so the room was bright starting from 5am. The building is such that you can hear and feel the vibration from anyone walking around, and there was noise late into the night. The air conditionner worked but was really loud and made an irritating sound, turning on and off all night. Not great for business travel where I just needed a quiet place to sleep. On the plus side -- great location, seemed safe at night, the bathroom was nice, shower worked great, and the bedding was ok. Overall, the cost was too high (seemed like a renovated dorm room with cheap furniture). You definitely pay for the location.

My husband and I had to come up from CT for the weekend and decided to give this property a try. We found the area around the property to be absolutely lovely, nice dining options within walking distance and it was relatively quite and safe. 3 stars is more generous than I would give however due to the fact that our bathroom was across the hall with a keypad, so every time you have to use the bathroom - you need to plug in a code. Not at all convenient in the middle of the night or when you're trying to get ready for an event. Who wants to put on glasses or a robe to cross the hall in the middle of the night??? Another inconvenience is the security deposit - $$$ is being held for 5 days even after we checked out. Staff is friendly enough - but those 2 things are deal breakers for us. 3 Stars is more generous than what I originally wanted to give. We will not be coming back.

No heat, no help

The heat did not work. In Boston. In March. I arrived late and there is no one on the property to help, nor do they have anyone on call after hours. I spent the first night wearing all my clothes and shivering. The TV didn't work either. The next day the person on site confirmed that the central heat wasn't working and said there was no other room I could be transferred to. He left a space heater which was effective. He said he fixed the TV but that evening when I came back it still was not. The guy who answered the phone did not seem to believe me and asked me to send him pictures of the not working TV (ie a blank screen). Nothing done that evening. The next day a person on site fixed the TV. The final 2 nights of my stay were fine, (with the space heater) the room was small but comfortable and clean (although there was no trash can). I have requested a refund for the first freezing night and was told a request had been made but 5 days since I checked out I have received no confirmation and no partial refund.

Good location, compact room with everything you need. Very convenient self-service token-operated washing machine and dryer. Worth the price. No elevators, and bed is a bit small.
