"I have traveled to the Les Arcs area many times, but I have never had such a terrible experience. The hotel room was absolutely terrible: dirty, moldy, and not at all suitable for families. The guest bathroom and bedroom probably haven't been cleaned in decades. The furniture appears to be original, and the bedding is stinky. "The residence is in a quiet peaceful location reached via a windy hillly road. In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. All spectacular. The two rooms were spacious enough and clean to our liking, affordable, the staff friendly and Chamonix a half hour drive away. "

"To say that the photographs of the apartment were misleading would be a misuse of the term. Totally mis-representational would be more appropriate (it was a completely different space). On arrival, there was no-one there to give us keys and no-one answered the phone when we tried repeatedly to call. Only after we hijacked one of the neighbours keys and left a message through the ski hire guy did we get a call at nearly midnight and finally got let into a room (not the one we booked). They...

"It was an amazing week in La Plagne. Perfect location, ski-in and ski-out, apartments were clean and cozying. Very friendly people on reception met us and helped with accommodation. I was a little disappointed that the apartment did not have such things as slippers (floor was quite cold without it), soap, WiFi, dishwasher detergent. It is not very expensive but might make a rest more comfortable."

"Great place to stay, just off the village square, right next to the Mont Blanc Hotel, and two minutes walk from Le Chamois Télécabine. A quiet, calm and convenient location - especially for getting on the first lifts. Could do with refreshing the cutlery and crockery as a couple of items missing, but that is the worst it gets. The only word of warning, make sure you order the bedding and towels beforehand as they are not included in the base price. "

"A l’arrivé, pas de code d’entrée ni la clé. On a du appelé plusieurs fois pour obtenir cela. 1/2h plus tard, rentée dans l’appart, surprise, le lieu n’était pas nettoyé. Il y a tu des traces de chips, poussière gris au sol, sous le lit. "On the ski slopes, with grocery shop and ski hire shops opposite the hotel. Restaurant great. Rooms spacious and clean, suite had good kitchen area. The gondola is a 2 minute walk away and it runs free day and night to access the centre of town, bars and restaurants."

"The room was comfortable and had all the amenities needed to relax after a day skiing. The sofa bed was comfortable and easy to get out and put away. The bathroom was basic, but provided a lovely warm shower and the hotel spa facilities were good, although the outdoor pool could have been a bit warmer. The village has some great restaurants and bars, if a little light on entertainment spaces, but a short lift ride up to 2000 provided more of this if needed. It was also great to visit some of the on-piste bars and restaurants for some mid ski refreshment. "

"Our stay at Hôtel Taj-I Mah was absolute perfection. What truly set this property apart was the seamless balance between a high-end, luxury experience and a genuinely warm, approachable atmosphere. The staff's attention to detail was amazing, and we felt incredibly well-cared for from the moment we arrived. The little touches made all the difference, from the lovely nightly turndown service to the thoughtful chocolates left on the pillow. We were also impressed by how well they catered to gluten-free options, making dining both stress-free and delicious. A special shout-out must go to the ski room staff, who were fantastic and made the daily transition to the slopes effortless. If you are looking for a hotel that offers top-tier service while remaining comfortable and welcoming, this is the place to stay."
