"'Classic Double' room was a loft room on third floor (no lift). A couple of light bulbs out; coffee machine didnt work; no hot water in sink; difficult getting wifi. A bit disappointing."

"I find in incomprehensible that in modern Britain, that housekeeping needs to knock on the door to find out if you have vacated the room so they have to hammer on doors at 8;30 to see if you are still in the room. when she eventually found an empty room you could hear everything she was doing no consideration for residents who may may still be in bed, which is to be expected in a room where check out is not until 11:00. Spoilt the stay for me. Also the room had frosted windows, not good if you like daylight to apply make-up etc."

"We liked the location and ease of checking in. The bed and bathroom were comfortable and clean Restaurant could do with more support as food ordered was wrong (Thai green chicken curry instead of vegetarian) and my partner had to wait whilst my food was cooked again"

"I’m disabled and poor sleep and stress can often trigger a flare of my symptoms. The disabled room I was staying in is through one door in proximity to the bar/reception. I was kept awake most of the night, until finally I called the hotel at 2.00am and asked if there were people sat at the bar. I was told yes and I explained they were keeping me awake with rowdy cheering, shouting and laughter. The noise did stop after that, but my pain symptoms were already triggered. I reported it to the manager in the morning and asked that I be contacted once she had investigated. Zero contact regarding the issue. Would not stay here again or recommend it."
