Rooms are nice and quiet with comfortable beds. Warm greeting and helpful reception on arrival. An excellent choice for breakfast and friendly helpful staff. We had dinner in restaurant and local mussels were delicious. Meals were well priced. Would stay here again.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make me feel valued as a guest. The food was great. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were done on a daily basis, and it was nice to come in to a clean. The room each day. The laundry services were excellent. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. The location is beautiful. There is a shop, a health center, a recreation center, and a couple of little restaurants; in addition to a convenience, store, and petrol station nearby. And it is a quick drive to the ferry over to yell, Unst, and Fetlar. As long as you have a car, it is very convenient. And not very far to the main town in Shetland, Lerwick. The views are spectacular and there is much to marvel lot there; Including seagull, Frank, the unofficial mascot of the Brae Hotel. All in all a great stay!

Wonderful little hotel, perfect stay.

I love coming to Brae Hotel, staff are all brilliant. The rooms are clean, warm and basic. Have enlverything i needed though. Breakfast was good, althoufh no square sausage which i missed. Overll wxtremely happy and will be back

Best hotel on Shetland
We had an amazing stay at the Brae Hotel, which after staying in a few other places, I can say is the best hotel I’ve experienced within Shetland. The room was really comfortable & clean offering great value of money. However the real stand out feature was every member of staff in the hotel and the warm welcome they provided

Good location and friendly staff
Good size room, nice evening meals and good breakfast. Unfortunately most staff were isolating so lots of facilities were out of use, however the few staff available were helpful and friendly. Chip shop close to the hotel makes great takeaway sandwiches.

The staff were great and efficient. The breakfast is good and available at a perfect time for workers. I don't know why tourists feel the need to get up for breakfast at 7 when on holiday.My room on the lower floor was great and had a bath.

Does the job
Does the job for a comfortable night’s stay. Bathrooms a little basic in terms of decor but clean and perfectly adequate. Corridor outside room is a bit stark but you won’t be spending much time there. A sound choice if you want to stay in Shetland apart from Lerwick. Seems to attract workers from the oil industry as it is close to Sullim Voe - but not a problem.
