"This was an amazing hotel to stay at. First time in Edinburgh, this hotel had great history and beautiful grounds. The staff on reception were very helpful especially Chloe who went out of her way to upgrade our rooms & chat to us too! Also really enjoyed the leisure facilities. Didn’t want to leave! Our beds were very comfy- I will be back! "

"Carlton george hotel is right in the heart of glasgow city centre. Right beside george square. This is our 2nd time staying here and will be back again. We stayed in the club room which was a huge room and faced on to the city centre. We stayed in room 210 it was close to the lift had a bath with a shower. You get slippers and a dressing gown and some nice arran toiletries. There is also a mini bar which is FREE and these are in all rooms. Plus we got entry in to the executive lounge where you get a 2 and a half hour time slot when you book in. Its from 5-7.30pm or 8-10.30 . There you can help yourself to vodka, whisky, bacardi, wine and soft drinks. Or you can get tea, coffee and hot chocholate. They have some cheese and crackers , pretzels, mini chedders and crisps for snacks. The staff will ask for your room number and name when going in to the lounge this is to make sure its only the people who have booked go in to the lounge as you only get it when in certain rooms and not just a free for all. Any way staff are all friendly and the beds are so so comfotable i did not want to get up out of it lol. Glasgow queen street train station is practically next door and if you are going to the airport the bus stop is right outside the hotel."

"Check in was flawless. The receptionist Yazmin was wonderful. Found my old IHG Priority number and added it to my reservation. That entitled me to late check out which was great. Parking is across the street in a huge open air NCP. I was a little concerned, but it seems to have good lighting and CCTV. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Staff in general were all excellent. There was a brief moment of panic at noon when the fire alarm went off, but it was quickly silenced. Bedding was crisp and fresh. Great sized shower. All in all an excellent stay."
