"The only small issues we faced were a hard bed, a bath that was difficult to have a bath in, and the door to get in had a high lip making it painful to get over in the wheelchair"

"We loved our time at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a medical issue and needed help, the receptionist couldn’t have been more sympathetic and helpful, thank you! Great parking facility. Supermarket 5 minutes walk if needed Room was lovely, everything we needed. Easy to find location wise and not too far from city centre .Breakfasts were excellent.. best of all our hotels so far. Lovely pub right across the road, great for dinner or a few drinks. Thoroughly recommend this hotel."

"Fantastic service, staff are excellent, a great and unusual place to stay with very good food and well kept beer at a reasonable price. Be aware, if you chose the Tower Room there are 101 steps from reception to you floor, quite a treck if you're not in great shape, but doable."

"This is a lovely hotel, situated a 10 minute drive off the A69, and easy driving distance to Hexham, Corbridge, as well as Cumbria and further reaches of Northumberland. Excellent hotel for walkers. The hotel has no lift, so if you struggle with mobility I would strongly recommend contacting the hotel prior to visit, and they can put you in a room just off the car park (accessable via a small ramp). Nice food, pleasant staff. "

"The room was very comfortable and clean. All members of staff very helpful. I really loved the water and milk dispensers to reduce extra waste. Bathroom was ever so slightly worn around the edges, but otherwise perfectly clean. Would definitely stay again."
