"It was a very nice place to stay, excellent food, lively bar and clean and comfortable room. There was no welcome gift as promised by Hotels.com and there was a bit of a mix up in that although I had already paid the hotel insisted I pay again, the £300 was refunded during my stay as it was the hotels mistake."

"We stayed at this gem of a pub on the way to Scotland. The staff are all super friendly and helpful too. The pub has excellent quality food and wines too. My husband had the steak pie, I had the fish and Chips both were outstanding. We liked it so much we booked for the following week on our way back. They are really dog friendly too! "The Boot and Shoe is a typical country pub . Full of character . We stayed for one night. The room was basic but comfortable. Shower was good . It was very quiet from around 10pm so we had a good sleep. All the staff were cheerful , friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. We had the evening meal which was delicious . I had the pork belly from the specials board , Breakfast was very good too. We had the full English . "
