"Lovely hotel, Remarkable for the price to be fair. Room was nice and spacious, beds and pillows were comfortable, shower was hot. What more could you ask for? Nice walk around the grounds in the morning after breakfast too. Amazing value for the breakfast, with everything you'd expect. Would certainly stay again if I was in the area."

"Overall: Good stay, but limited food options The breakfast here was really excellent โ fresh, tasty, and plenty of choice. That was definitely the highlight of my stay. However, the lunch and dinner options are quite limited. The menu is mostly sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and steaks โ not much variety at all. In my opinion, the food just isn't worth the price. On the plus side, the drinks are reasonably priced for a hotel."

"Arrival was easy and straightforward. The gentleman with glasses behind the reception (I didnโt get his name unfortunately) was so welcoming and helpful. Thank you . Had a quick dinner on my first night at the sports bar which was ok My best experience would be the spa especially to Mia and Katie. They are credit to the hotel as they are so professional and knowledgeable. The carvery dinner was great as the chef was great and kind and my lovely waitress Paulie(polly) was so attentive, polite and very caring. The housekeeping team was amazing as i walked passed and requested some items to be replenished and I donโt need cleaning. She was very kind and helpful and asked if I need anything? Contrast to my breakfast experience. Yes I am aware that there was a wedding and other events the night before so there was a queue to the breakfast I meant a massive queue which I can understand. Unfortunately the lady who showed to my table was not very accommodating and my table was not even cleaned before the set up. My cups and glasses were stucked to the table. This hopefully can be done better in the future. A small little things always be remembered and appreciated. Didnโt even bother to go for breakfast the next day that I already paid for. I just didnโt want a bad experience before I left. Overalll my stay has been pleasant and relaxing. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Old Thorns ."
