Quality stay

Very nice stay here - good location for going out on day trips. The Inn and hospitality by Laurie and Jason were excellent. Everything from breakfast to accomodations were well done !!

The Captain Freeman Inn is charming. Laurie and Jason provide extras, like an afternoon snack, which make the stay extra special. A wonderful breakfast too.

The new owners (as of January 2020) Laurie and Jason, go above and beyond to make a stay with them absolutely enjoyable, giving information on the area, providing the use of beach chairs, beach towels, serving afternoon tea snacks (via room-specific Bento boxes during the Covid19 crisis!), serving the most fabulous, filling, freshly cooked breakfast (included!) served on the porch or by the pool, surrounded with lovely plantings! If you have a need, they will be happy to fill it. The Inn itself is a charming old building, lovingly kept up, and the rooms are lovely, with great 'accoutrements' in both bath and bedroom. Plan a visit, you'll love it!

This is a centrally located, clean, beautifully appointed property with modern updates and all the amenities. The three-course gourmet breakfast is nothing short of glorious. And, best of all, owners Laurie and Jason could not be nicer or more accommodating.

This is our third year here and we absolutely love the property and grounds. We love the attention to detail and the outdoor swimming pool. They provide a 3-course breakfast every morning, which is filling and delicious! The owners are so kind and will help you out with any questions you may have.

I have never stayed in a hotel, at any price, where every detail was thought of. It was a fabulous stay. Byron and Donna are consummate hosts. Well appointed rooms, clean, comfortable and luxurious! The welcome gift of an African Violet sits on my kitchen window sill and reminds me of that beautiful place every time I look at it. We booked out next year's stay before we left! I have never done that before.

No place better to stay than Captain Freeman Inn!

Captain Freeman Inn was fantastic! We had the best time in the most serene location. The breakfast was out of this world every single day of our stay. And cannot forget to mention the fantastic cookies, snacks, teas, etc. always present for guests to enjoy. Donna and Byron were beyond hospitable and kind. We felt so much warmth in their home. We will definitely return for another stay very soon and have already recommended CFI to many friends and family.

This is by far the BEST B&B we have ever stayed at!! The house is perfect! The location, the parking, the quaintness, the staff, the inkeepers, the cleanliness, the food!! Everything was superb! They thought of everything to make our stay memorable and amazing. We loved it!!! We stayed in the Orleans room on the first floor. The bathroom had the best shower and with heated floors! The staff is remarkable. So great. Just do yourself a favor and book this place. You will not regret it!

Overall review

We have a summer home nearby. We like to check it out during the winter and stay at a nearby inn. Captain Freeman’s was available, had a room which met all our needs (ground level, king size bed). The inn keepers are great, concerned, interested, interesting, personable, and very helpful and informative. The facilities are great, the breakfast superb.
