"This property is quiet and tucked away. You can snorkel right off the property with an eclectic assortment of marine life to view. The pool is so clean and offers beautiful view of sunset. "We loved our stay at Puerta Azul. They have their own dock to start snorkeling and kayaking from, as well as boat pickups of you prefer tours to reach farther destinations. Breakfast onsite was great with a weekly rotating menu. One thing to note is that the onsite restaurant is the only convenient but expensive option for lunch and dinner. The main road is not comfortably walkable, although we did do it a few nights for more variety. The front desk can also call taxis for you. The reef outside had some amazing snorkeling and was the highlight of the stay. We saw an octopus, 2 types of rays, jellyfish, squid, and countless fish species over the span of 5 days. Very few other hotels have set up here so we had the reef all to ourselves."
