"Loved the art deco ambience. Check in easy, offer to carry my bags up the stairs much appreciated, the free drink and meal discount persuaded me to eat-in and have an earlier night. With trains so convenient I will be back, rather than stay in town with much more exorbitant prices."

"The Seranin Gordon is an affordable hotel, so don't expect the Ritz and you will be happy with it. Gordon is a beautiful and safe suburb of Sydney and there are shops there with everything and all the services you could need. In addition, there are many restaurants catering to a wide range of tastes. Transportation there is easy on the trains, although it would be great if the hotel was a little closer to the station. It's a less than 10 minute walk from the train station to the hotel, all on paved sidewalks, but it does take a bit of time. At least to get to the station, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, but it's probably faster just to walk it.
The room I had was clean and on the Pacific Highway side of the hotel. This meant there was a small amount of road noise, but it didn't disturb my sleep or anything else. It wasn't huge, but was fine for one person and everything was clean. There was a refrigerator, kitchen sink and microwave along with cutlery and crockery. Some people might complain that the room was not serviced every day, but that doesn't bother me at all. Everything was modern and worked reasonably well. The shower was far better than the average hotel shower with abundant hot water.
In summary, the Seranin Gordon is clean, convenient and reasonably priced. That ticks all the boxes for me and I'd happily stay there again."
"Had a wonderful stay for 2 nights
My Queen room was immaculate - loved the private bathroom.
Dinner downstairs or in my room was delicious and incredibly generous
Great staff as well
I’ll be back for sure ! "
"The room was well equipped and comfortable. Friendly front desk and easy, secure parking. But some maintenance is required - cockroaches in the dishwasher, balcony door was hard to close and lock, carpet needs cleaning and toilet paper and soap holder fittings need to be resecured."
"We arrived at midnight and the property didn't provide us with alarm code. We have two small kids that travelled from Canada to Australia and had to put them to sleep with alarm blasting. That night was very stressful. Also the lock on the door was unreasonably noisy and beep constantly.
The condition of the house and yard was great."
