Lovely pub, charming staff and a good breakfast. However, bathrooms need some attention. In particular, shower is a little small despite room for one larger.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Lion . We had our own car parking space . The breakfast was outstanding . Very hot plenty of it and delicious. The only downside was they didn’t do meals in the evening. But they are ready to recommend places that do great meals ie The Old Castle. We would definitely stay there again.

The Staff were very polite and helpful. The bedroom was a good size, however we found the bed very uncomfortable, we had a terrible night with it and we didn't get much sleep, the bed may have been better as 2 singles? Breakfast was excellent. Good location right in the town centre however if you have a large car like ours the surrounding access roads to the pub's car park were a bit challenging!

The property was really clean staff very helpful.breakfast was great nicely situated with lots of shops to visit bed was comfortable and room warm and cosy bar staff really helpful all around great pub to stay

Biggest breakfast ever.
Lovely break away, hotel room was very good, bed was twin beds pushed together so not the most comfortable but breakfast made up for it fantastic, my only gripe was that it was too much food for me and I hate to waste any🙂 it was a benefit that we had an allocated parking space. All in all a lovely stay in Bridgnorth.

Lovely place right near all the shops the only thing it’s a pub so don’t expect to get an early night put once the music stop at 11.30 we had a beautiful night sleep

Lovely old building, Platform 3 room is large, downside is it’s over the smoking shelter, so if you had the windows open all you can smell is smoke, personally I think some shelves in the bathroom would be great. Breakfast was fabulous, landlady very friendly

Golden Lion Inn.
Fabulous position, right in the middle of Bridgnorth. Shops, other pubs & restaurants all within walking distance. Available parking was a bonus too. Funky spacious rooms. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine, just your average cooked breakfast. Our room had music from nearby nightclub, but it was completely off at midnight. We would stay here again.

Great location, friendly staff, lots of places to eat, beautiful area to walk about. Great breakfast. There is something about the old pubs that chain hotels cannot duplicate. I would stay again.

Nice locals pub. Room was clean and tidy with all facilities you would expect. Very central location. Breakfast choices slightly limited but non the less very welcoming! Great value £85 B&B Carpark at back of pub bit tricky to find

Period property with lovely facilities for breakfast. Our room was on the top floor so be prepared for climbing stairs 😊 Carol was very informative, helpful and knowledgeable about places to go. A credit to the hotel. Dog friendly place with specific rooms identified for furry family members. Unable to comment as ours weren’t with us.

Lovely little Inn on the main high street in Bridgnorth. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable and at just the right temperature. The staff were great as was the freshly cooked breakfast. The Inn doesn't serve evening meals but within 50m are the top rated places to eat for Pub, Italian and Indian meals.

Really enjoyed our stay in the Retro Suite - spacious, very comfy bed, clean and retro theme decor was cool. Super friendly staff and a lovely full English breakfast.

This was our second stay and we were there for theee nights. Everything was great although there were a couple of areas we thought could be improved. The mattress is a bit hard and could use a topper. Also, we feel that, if we have to give our breakfast order and preferred time the night before, it should be freshly cooked. On both mornings when we had a cooked breakfast the bacon and black pudding had obviously been kept warm for a very long time and the bacon was very hard and not enjoyable. Overall this place represents amazing value in a great location with very friendly staff and excellent beers. We will definitely be back.

on-site parking is good as there are very little spaces in the high road. Nice real ale selection. Room clean and comfy. Nice breakfast. Only small niggle, they do not do evening meals, however, not a major problem as there are plenty of other places that do.
