Great location, parking $25 a night but you have to pay as it’s in the city anyway, didn’t have a blanket in the main bedroom just a sheet and didn’t realise til we got home at 2am Overall good spot

Had a wonderful stay at this property. The room was very large and spacious. A nice sized kitchen which made it great to be able to cook our own meals. The main bedroom was huge. Donna made for an easy check in.. (the reception IS open Sundays, so ignore the hrs on this site) easily contactable if not at reception. The only downfall for me was the workers who started extraordinary early outside the front of the building, before the sun had risen. Other than that had an amazing stay. Would recommend for location, size and friendliness.

We had a good stay for our purposes. It was exceedingly hot inside the bedrooms.It would have been pleasant if the aircondirioning had been turned on prior to our arrival but I can understand the cost of electri ity is high. Airconditioning made it pleasant in the kitchen/living room. The fan had no effect in small room so had to sleep in loungeroom. There was hair from other persons in shower on arrival & blood on toilet seat and handbasin on arrival.Otherwise the place was clean. Thankyou for our stay.

Good location, great price for one night. I prefer a one room unit though so I can watch tv in bed we were given 2 bed with tv in living room.

The unexpected $200 charged to my credit card on arrival for a bond was not communicated anywhere I could find prior to arrival. Towel rack in bathroom was falling off the wall and kitchen cupboard doors hanging off hinges

Worst experience in my 15 years on Hotels.com
I'm a frequent traveler and not a prima donna but this is the worst apartment I've ever stayed in and frankly, it should not be included in Hotels.com offering at all. In fairness, the receptionist did say the apartment needs painting but she should also note it needs everything else, including a through clean. The filthy beds meant I slept on a lounge sofa. Simply a bad experience and had I checked in a little earlier, I would have asked for my money back and booked another place. Never again...

Incredible and friendly staff! The building is dated but clean. Perfect spot for a night out on the town with friends! Close to the train station, food, clubs!

Thank you for your kind review. FV4006 Apartments changed management on 11 March 19 and we have been working non stop to turn the experience of our guests around. We have refurbished three apartments since we took over and new carpets are being installed in the public areas.

Location, excellent, bonus lap pool, very large units for over night accommodation, peased to have full kitchen & laundry. Friendly staff. AAA+ for silent glassing. Would return again. Great if you are on a tight budget.

Location was great. Aircons and rooms need to be cleaned better it was so stuffy but can’t leave windows open as you’re right in the valley.

Flew in that day for a meeting, went to check in at 2pm to find no one there. Rang the number on the door and after the 3rd try got through to someone who told us we would have to wait until after 3.

I have to be completely honest. I have stayed in many places across town and out of town in different cities. 1. Steve was exceptional with checking in. Super friendly and hassle free. Quick and easy. 2. For where this place is located and for the price of $98p/n for 3 kids and my partner staying for CNY 2019, it's was quite the bargain. 3. Room 36 was a 2 bedroom apartment! I say Apartment because it has a large main lounge room, large main bedroom, mid sized 2nd bedroom along a full sized kitchen setup with breakfast bench and dishwasher. 3. Built washing machine, dryer and sink. 4. A Stones throw from China Town and surrounded by the newly refurbished Fortitude Valley. 5. A pool and full gym. Had trouble getting ahold of them as the don’t always answer the phone. Got asked to wait an hour to collect our room deposit as they weren’t in for us to check out. Room wasn’t the cleanest. Good space and location for the price though.

This property as amazing location if you're out to go clubbing in the Valley on the weekend. If you're looking for a place to see the sights of Bris, I would recommend staying in the city instead where you can get a 2 bedroom for the same price. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking Wickham, (the one you see in the picture). Below is an awesome ramen bar, which on our way home at midnight had turned itself into a night club. The noise from the street was noticeable but not offensive. It was a slow check in process and like most of these apartment places you could never find anyone at the office when you want them. Parking was $15 a night, which was very secure and much cheaper than the city. Room was spacious, but couches and carpets had seen better days and the single beds were small and uncomfortable. Room had clearly been stayed in, by a number of revellers in the last couple of years. It was $210 a night so one of the cheapest two bedder we could find in the valley, stumbling distance from our concert venue. Pool in the morning was clean and refreshing. Not luxury but good price for the location and perfect for what we wanted.

The apartment was sufficient although did smell terrible and the chairs and table were collapsing ! It was very very hard to understand what one of the staff were saying they weren’t from an English speaking background and I still haven’t received my security of 200 dollars yet but will be in contact again !! Yes you get what you pay for but only booked as it was walking distance to the event I was heading to .

Check in is a bit unusual with no visible buzzer to enter the building! Spacious rooms and in a great part of Fortitude Valley. Having to take out your own garbage at the end of your stay ( or risk a $60 fine) is a bit of a turn off. We requested a queen and two singles, but got two queens, which made it a bit uncomfortable. And the fold out bed was broken. Improvement needed but overall a great space

Even though communication was inadequate overall not expensive with everything u need for day to day living mate had no blankets in her unit and could feel springs in our bed overall value for money. Any issues like no blankets didn't know how to take child lock off microwave staff were not contactable but would go back as it's definately value for money

Poor service from start to finish
I was incredibly disappointed to book in to stay at FV4006 only to be told to come back later as the manager was "out for a few hours". When booking accommodation one would expect to be able to utilise the check in facilities in the early afternoon. Upon check out there was nobody at the desk and the company attempted to charge a "cleaning fee" despite the unit being left spotless. I will not be returning

Center of town
So close to everything, a walk to restaurants and pubs, niteclubs and cafes. Apartment is old but massive. Very comfortable and clean. I had stayed here many times and will do again

The state of this apartment was appalling. Very dirty, bathroom not cleaned properly, toilet not even flushed. Couldn't use aircon as there was no remote, reception closed at 4pm,not contactable after hours. Icing in the cake was my 3yo playing on the bedroom floor and pulling drug paraphernalia out from under the bed. Thanks god we only booked for 1 night. I wouldn't let my dog stay in this place. Disgusting.

Don't expect a hotel.
Room was large but has overwhelming damp odour.. Figured out what when we switched off air-con in a bed room and water dumped on the carpeted floor. Basically poorly serviced apartments is what you get.. while not unclean.. just lacking in most basic of features. Bed room's had sheets fitted, but no actual blankets? Sat down to unwind and watch TV.. but every remote was either in dis-repair of just had flat batteries. We were offered fresh batteries when contacting the seldom attended reception.

Middle of everything but horrifying to stay at
Hotel staff dont speak a word of english. Had to wait over an hour for someone to come let us in just after thr 4:30 shut of the reception even after calling a head and being told there would be someone on site. Room was average, needs some serious maintainence. The elevator is absoloutely terrifying. Grinds and jumps as it stops. Although the faults. Its very central to everything food just down the road and shoping centre is a 15 minute walk. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Super convenient location, but for this price there should be decent pillows (they were loose and lumpy and my husband and I both woke with sore necks), and it should be very clean. There were two shopping bags of off food in the portico off the second bedroom. Just weird.

So incompetent I thought I was in Faulty Towers
Seriously, these guys are hilarious. From cancelling a room due to over-booking, arriving 40mins late for their own check-in time and then mishandling guest after guest after guest, I just kept looking over my shoulder thinking I was being filmed for a comedy show. a) they cancelled a room on us, but were kind enough to ring and let us know. b) check-in was 2.00pm but no-one arrived until 2.40pm and we were literally left sitting on the front steps of the building until they arrived c) there were broken chairs, lounge and blinds in the room. The bathtub tap didn't work. There was no floor mat or face-cloth in the bathroom. d) the pool was "closed" for repairs but the whole time we were there (four days) there was not a single tradesperson doing anything. e) when you call the hotel enquiry number you get some real estate agent who has no idea what's going on If this place is under new ownership they need to spend some serious money to get everything updated and in proper working order. On a plus-side, it's the first apartment complex I've stayed in for AGES where the buzzer works at the front gate and you can buzz people in to your room. Also, for BIGSOUND, which is what we were staying for, it's hard to beat for location. Just have a sense of humour and you'll be fine.

DISAPPOINTING
this was our first visit to Brisbane, we found some nice places around - South Bank was really nice and the free ferry was handy. going to mount coot-tha and the botanical gardens was worth the trip. the disapointment was the apartment. size was good but it was very run down and dirty. it was a no smoking apartment but the smell was strong of smoke. butts left on the outside window sill. there were blinds which did not work, oven dirty and greasy, pans and dishes dirty. we spent the first 2 hours cleaning after getting cleaning stuff from the local shop. we did complain and got the micro wave changed and the butts removed. these were serviced apartments and were told it would be serviced after 5 nights. we asked for clean towels on the sixth day as nothing had been replaced. after eight nights we only had a change of towels as we dumped the dirty ones on the managers desk on the sixth day. there is room for improvement, but the priority seems to be on the apartments being booked out on a friday and saturday night for groups of young people. these apartments are NOT for the tourist. no tourist information available.vomit on the steps and in the lift. floors very dirty and smelly.

Checkin is 2pm. I got a call at 4:15pm telling me in the exact words. Do not come there is a problem with the room. So I said why apparently a blocked drain. I said ok fine I will come at 6pm. On arrival checked in went ok. Got to the room for the price you pay it is ok, although very old some things aren't clean, AC is rubbish. This didn't bother us as we were just after a place to sleep. Got a call at 8pm telling us we needed to move rooms in the morning. I said well no it's not my fault you have double booked. I said we will move if you provide the same type of room or better. He offered an upgrade! Great! Anyway I said call us at 10am in the morning to help us take our stuff to the other room and get the key for the new room. In the morning while we were asleep an asian family had been given a key to our room and entered while we were sleeping. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS! I called management who said oh you will have to wait in the lobby until 2pm for your new room. I said no way are we moving we've booked and paid for two nights it's not good enough, the reply was in exact words I GAVE YOU A GOOD DEAL. Seriously where do these people get off. On the first night the lift stopped working so we were talking between levels to try and find the lifts and the manager came out and threatened to fine us $100 for being loud. We were simply talking? After finally moving rooms at 2pm the room we were given was far from an upgrade and in far worse conditon. DO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel
We all just felt weird staying in this 'hotel'. It is definitely not a four star, more like a two star rating. Bathroom door handle was broken, came apart when used. Apartment was very exposed living room and one bedroom with very poor quality damaged blinds. Apartment seemed clean, but very worn and incredibly tired. Difficult check in. None of us would stay here again.

Value for money
Great apartment. Great location. Easy to get ahold of reception after hours. Close to public transport. Lots of shopping, restaurants and bars all within close walking distance. Even mini golf that has a bar is around the corner. Pool doesn't get much sun during the day if you wanted to top up your tan like I did. But this place is great value for money. My only small negative with our apartment was outside the bedroom was a street light, so room wasn't very dark during the night. But loved the location, highly recommend.

There is a German cockroach infestation
Staff we gracious and offered to move my guests - they fumigated room on day 2 and cleaned - but can't get rid of those tiny roaches - even the day guests were leaving they were on the bed. Needs a better solution than spot spray

Did not get what I paid for.
This was a terrible place. Got there and things were broken as well as the smoke alarm hanging from the roof. They then proceeded to blame myself for a dirty blanket that was in the cupboard already dirty saying that I had stained it and have to pay an extra $80. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The lady at the front desk abused me because I asked for another roll of toilet paper.

check in was 2pm, no staff upon arrival for check in at 2pm like i was told on the number stuck on the door to call Luckily another customer came in at 2.30pm and had a code for the safe, her key was not in there but mine was. Apartment was ok, had what we needed in the kitchen etc, but had no blankets on the beds. In the morning there were cochroaches running around the kitchen.
