"Think before upgrading to a club room as at this venue the offering is not necessarily an upgrade. Room extremely small compared to other village hotel club rooms and only set up for one person despite booking being for 2. Convenient location for M4 but Village are loosing their edge by being stingy with their premium offering. Gym was ok but limited on opening hours at weekends."

"It is our second visit and it suits us very much. The staff are welcoming and the rooms are very clean with comfy beds and .everything you need. Also it is very handy to park your car nearby."

"The room was very clean. Comfortable beds, good shower. The view wasn’t great (concrete wall!) but didn’t matter to us. Excellent value for money. Fantastic location in the centre of town and so quiet, I was surprised I couldn’t hear any noise from the roads. Staff were very friendly and helpful, though a bit slow at check in, beware longer queues at 3pm. Quick check out available."

"The hotel was very quiet and clearly they are still trying to build up trade after taking over from Radisson Blue. The lack of customers didn't appear to have had any impact on the number of staff as there were plenty in attendance at reception and at breakfast etc. We were given a free room upgrade, as were the people in front of us at reception, presumably another reflection of how quiet the hotel is. Beds was really comfortable. Bathroom/shower was really nice. There were quite a few scuff marks on the walls of the room and the table in the bedroom had seen better days. Breakfast was excellent. Superb location right in the city centre and next to the harbourside. An excellent stay all round."

"Location: Excellent Car parking: Very good though price was a bit steep Food: restaurant is a bit limited in their offerings. Breakfast lacked waffles despite waffles being on posters. Room: Good Facilities: Good Anything terrible? It was a heat wave and the aircon would have been a blessed relief. But the aircon only managed to cool the room to 26 on night 1. 25 on night 2 and for night 3 it reached 23. On the morning that we left it was 21."

"You need to pre book one of the parking spaces/companies so just take note ( I hadn’t realised). Location great, room fine, door of bathroom didn’t close, breakfast very good. Friendly staff."
