"This is what I wrote to the front desk but never got a response:
I wanted to share my recent experience with you rather than post it on Google or trip advisor because these are all fixable things.
I stayed recently at your hotel and it’s my second time. The rooms are clean and kept in good shape. The issues came with the staffing. It took over 30 minutes to check in. Your staff had people who needed more time but didn’t go to get support when the line was long. It was only when someone was looking for a job that a manager was called out and then helped check people in.
As well, your bar staff regularly took ages to check on us and bring our orders. I waited 45 minutes to try and get a waitress’s attention and ordered food and a drink. The soup came before the wine did. But without a spoon. I watched the wait staff bring food to other people before coming over with the spoon I asked for.
And the mice. There should not be that many mice visible in a bar space. That’s horrifying and should be dealt with.
When you talked to the staff, they were friendly and accommodating but it really made me rethink booking there again when it took ages to get service.
I will note, the door staff were exceptional and prompt. It was the front desk and bar staff that ruined this experience. "
