"The public rooms of the hotel are lovely and spacious. The grounds are beautiful. The bedroom was clean and a good size (if a little dated). In the bathroom, a good supply of hot water and shower water pressure good. The spa was at best average and if that had been the main reason for our visit, we would have been disappointed. "Stayed here during a cycling break. The staff helped me store my bicycle in a storage room so didn’t need to bring into my room. Good chat with the front room. Easy access to city centre and restaurants. Right in the middle of a cycle lane that goes around the city. Definitely worth going back to this hotel 👍"

"It was for a wedding and we booked to stay. Everything was perfect except, we couldn’t increase the temperature in our room and it was a little cold and there was a patch of carpet stuck down-obviously over a hole which was a little upsetting. The staff throughout the wedding, at reception and at breakfast were efficient and pleasant. Overall a lovely experience. The room/decor for the wedding was stunning, food throughout the day was lovely and check in and check out painless and quick. "
