"I was very disappointed with my stay and would not recommend this hotel. While the new renovations looked nice at first glance, it was clear they were done poorly—it felt like they simply slapped a layer of paint on the walls and called it finished, without addressing underlying issues. One major inconvenience is that there is no elevator in the building. If you’re placed on the second floor, be prepared to carry your luggage up and down the stairs, which is especially frustrating after a long day of travel. Noise was another significant problem. It was extremely loud, with nonstop noise continuing until about 2:00 a.m. The quiet only lasted a few hours before the noise started again around 6:00 a.m., making it nearly impossible to get good sleep. After just one night, I canceled the remainder of my stay and found another hotel. Overall, this place did not meet expectations, and I would not recommend it to others."

"This place was great! The restaurant downstairs was very convenient. If you are considering staying, I would suggest an upper level room. Our upstairs neighbors were too noisy! "

"No soap in shower or sink. What looked like smeared poop on the underside of our white quilt. Pool and hot tub not available but no mention of that when booking. No continental breakfast but was also mentioned when booking. I have pictures of the poop smeared quilt which I only saw after sleeping in the bed."

"The lake was majestically frozen this time of year. We enjoyed the view of it from the full floor to ceiling windows of our Cedar cabin. The sauna beside the lake with a full bathroom with shower was a luxury for this time of year. I imagine the small building that houses it is also a luxury for after swimming in the lake.This property is beautiful. It has to be a joy during the summer, however it is very pricey. There are more budget friendly places around. However, for a special time with that special someone in nature, it is wonderful with the views of the lake."

"The hot water didn’t work for the bathroom sink. They didn’t have a hot breakfast, the eggs and sausage warmers were not clean cleaned from the previous day and so they just didn’t make eggs and sausage for Sunday morning. When I asked I was told “she didn’t make it” with no offer to rectify the issue. It smelled like cigarettes I. The hallways. "

"Everything was amazing!! The shuttle service was top notch. The shuttle driver Vernon is awesome. He is very knowledgeable about the resort and quick to pick up. I also am impressed that the resort supplies firewood for every campfire. That is a perk for sure. The villa with the pool table is a must. It was perfect for our family and friends. Will definitely be back!!"

"We recently stayed at Cragun’s Resort and had a pleasant overall experience with a few areas for improvement. The staff was excellent—friendly, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, which we definitely appreciated. That said, there were some noticeable maintenance issues. There were stains on the ceiling from what appeared to be a past water leak, and the shower felt quite run down, with caulking chipping around the drain. The property overall seemed very dated—not unkept, but clearly in need of some refreshing. On a positive note, it was encouraging to see that renovations are currently underway. With those updates, this resort has great potential to really elevate the guest experience. We’d be interested in returning once the facelift is complete to see the improvements firsthand."

"The room was fresh smelling when we entered. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed the pool and the temp was perfect. The only complaint I have is the neighbors were so noisy until 4 in the morning so the sleep wasn’t the best. "

"I loved the comfy beds, included breakfast (hello cheesy eggs!) and the outdoor hot tub (say what?!) Great hotel!!! The water park was so fun. "
