"We loved residing next to the rushing Mill river. It was a unique experience and very soothing. We felt like we were living in the country and yet we could take a short stroll to the main street with various shops...each having unique merchandise.This was one of our best locations and accommodations during our year of traveling. The laundry room was extremely helpful. We can't say enough about the welcome, the help and the cottage itself.Our dog, Zoe, loved this place also!"

Parking was at front door, it was very busy while we were there so we were lucky to get the park we did, in saying this we did not need the car because we could walk to everything. "We had a fabulous weekend. The cottage was very easy to find, a short walk from the free car park and a stroll to the main street and many pubs, shops and eateries in Burford. The cottage is cosy but spacious for a family, with a well equipped kitchen and three comfortable bedrooms. We ate at the Farmer's Dog, the Bull and the Lamb Inn, all of which were great. "Perfect cottage for our family of 6. Great location with variety of dining and shopping options, perfect amount of space for the family to spread out or all be in one room together. Beautiful garden. The parking is tight for large vehicles but we made it work. The cottage is cute with historic charm and some low ceilings, but we’re all over 6’ tall found the charm worth ducking our heads for. Highly recommend the Dolphin House!"

"Arrived a little early to be able to check in so went for lunch in the bar which was excellent value and very tasty. On checking out room we found we were at the front facing the road which for us was too noisy so we asked to move,initially we were told No but he checked again a found us a room which was much quieter. The room was very nice, clean and quiet. We decided to eat in the restaurant and again the meals Were very nice and good value. The hotel Was overall good value for money, and the staff friendly and helpful, the only comment on the cleanliness would be to maybe change or clean the carpets in the corridors as they looked dirty."
