"An international experience more than a Japanese one. But staff is nice and tries their best to offset frequent miscommunication with front desk office. For instance we reported several time we wanted a Japanese futon room, but the room was prepared as western."

"Tachiro-san and his team are brilliant. They are very attentive and they look after us very well during our stay. The kaiseki dinners and breakfast are very yummy. All food served are at the highest quality. We have private open-air onsen in our room, which is a must. You can soak in the onsen at anytime you like. The whole experience is very personal and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!"

"Wonderful ryokan stay at Yufuin Kutsurogi no Yado Nanakawa. The location is very convenient, close to Yufuin Floral Village, quaint shops, and many restaurants. We enjoyed the half-board stay, and the food was sumptuous and beautifully prepared. The room was peaceful and comfortable, with a relaxing private onsen. A perfect place to slow down and enjoy the charm of Yufuin."

"Everything just great here. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Food are excellent. Onsen bath are phenomenal. Staff are helpful, welcoming and friendly. Strangely they don't give you any water in the hotel. You have to buy them either at vending machine or mini bar."

"I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was relaxing and staff were friendly and welcoming. When I departed on April 9, I realized that I had forgotten my watch at the hotel. Upon calling the hotel, the front desk gentleman drove his motorbike to quickly return it to me at the station. I am beyond thankful for his hospitality and am very appreciative of his kind and quick response. He made our trip extra special."

"A really nice Japanese style Onsen Hotel with great staff and a warm atmosphere. Their traditional Japanese breakfast was amazing as was the family onsen. Just a short walk from the train station and super close to all the shopping and food stores on the Main Street. "
