"Beautiful hotel which is spotlessly clean and staffed by the most lovely people. My husband and I were discussing how lucky the hotel is to have such brilliant people. Everyone of them couldn’t do enough and it wasn’t “ forced” as they all were so naturally lovely. From the lovely lady who checked us in on arrival then the cleaners who were excellent. Then Ivanilda in the breakfast room who went out of her way to help us choose the beach / island we visited. Then she checked on us the next day to ask where we went and if we enjoyed it. The rooftop was lovely and the pool was freezing cold as expected for early season in May but was refreshing once in! The indoor spa area was really lovely too. Perfect hotel in a perfect location. Thank you!"

"The breakfast was buffet, we had a lot of choice plus hot omlettes and vegan sausages. However, i feel in most 5 star hotels you have more hot food options like hot pancakes and english breakfasts. The hotel is near so many restaurants and shops are 10 mins walk. Overall room was clean however we had to ask for slippers, spa access didn’t include sauna and steam. It just wasn't a fully 5 star stay! They made a real effort for my parents anniversary! "

"The Cerro Mar Garden is a beautiful apartment hotel offering the independence of an apartment with the amenities of a resort/spa. The view is breathtaking, the apartments large and spacious with large beautiful terraces overlooking the Ocean and the pool. Great place for morning coffee and gatherings with friends. It is away from the party atmosphere of the centre town but close enough walk to the town and beach. Staff very friendly. The pool and the spa are amazing. I had 2 massages with Rachel, professional and extremely healing and helpful. I like that the scanda spa with the cold plunge, steam room and sauna are included. The restaurant buffet is delicious and a great variety. They kept the kitchen open for us as we arrived late, very accommodating. I wish that the daily housekeeping also included change of sheets after a number of days as we were there 12 and sheets were never changed. I would stay there again and highly recommend this property."

"Incredible hotel! Super modern and well designed. No direct beach access but there is nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food is good and the staff can help recommend local places to eat. Plenty of space to lie by the pools. Could be a few more loungers at the adult pool. Nice modern gym. Room was beautiful (had the cheapest type) and was always cleaned really well! Only downsides were that the room was not ready at check in time and the coffee is not great (if you care about that). Will definitely be returning."

"We booked this hotel for one night at the end of a three week trip. We arrived on a Sunday late evening after a long drive from Lisbon. Parking was very hard to find and had to walk a long way back to the hotel. Our room had a kettle and cups but no tea or coffee .When I went to reception to ask for tea and coffee I was told I could purchase some from them!!! or bring my own? We are global travellers and irrespective of hotel class where a kettle was provided there would be tea /coffee, I would have to purchase a box of tea bags a carton of milk and a packet of sugar. We were flying back home next morning making this a waste of money. The floor of our room was dirty under foot when you walk in bare feet. I later enquired about about the price of their wine and the prices were astronomical considering Portuguese wine is so reasonable this was taking the proverbial. The cooked breakfast was a bit disappointing, scrambled eggs very runny, bacon not real" bacon" no sausages, mushrooms or tomatoes . In a nutshell disappointing all around . Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend."

"The Hotel and Staff were both stunning, everyone from reception to Pool Bar did everything possible to make our short stay extremely enjoyable. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable and a TV with Worldwide coverage (if you cared enough to think of home ), Tea and Coffee making facilities had no milk, this was immediately resolved by staff. Location is excellent, short walk in all directions brings you out at bars and cafes of Olhao."
