My room was comfortable and quiet, the breakfasts were very good, and the hosts were welcoming. What more do you need? The house is about a 10-minute walk from Gaillac across the river. It is also a fairly short drive into Albi, which is a small city that is well worth exploring."

"Likely one of the strangest check-in experiences of my life. Admittedly, we got in late (11pm). I called the phone number indicated and was eventually greeted by a shirtless, shoeless man. He called another person on the phone, yelled for a bit, and then escorted me to the room. I can’t be sure because of the language barrier, but I’m 90% sure he was inviting me to his room for a drink after we dropped off the luggage.
