"The hotel is relatively new, hence in good condition. I booked for a bigger room so it’s comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is excellent but drainage is poor and took a long time to drain. The location is good as it has ocean view, however you need to walk around 15 mins to a swimming beach. Around 500 meters from the hotel is a local market with lots of restaurants. The breakfast buffet has lots of options but they don’t replace food after it runs out so you need to get there early. It took me an additional trip to get to the hotel. I’m told there are 6 Muong Thanh hotels in Ha Long, so you need to specify which one to your driver."

"A good value for money for one night. We just stayed after a tour around the bay. Nice spacious room.Very local breakfast. Small pool. The area is not the best. But it was perfect for our purpose."
